Randy Couture Returns To The UFC vs Brock Lesnar???
Just when you thought for sure Randy Couture was done with the UFC, things take yet another dramatic twist. Randy couture and the UFC have been in court battling over Randy's contract for months and it seems the 44 year old Champion is tired of the mess and has come to an agreement with Zuffa. Randy is going to come back and defend, he is still the UFC Heavyweight Champion right?[Antonio Nogueira is the Interim Heavyweight Champion], againstBrock Lesnar November 15th, at UFC 91! If, and that's if Randy can defeat the much larger and younger Lesnar, Zuffa will work out a "Super-Fight" where Randy can go face Fedor Emelianenko in early 2009. Whether it would be under the UFC banner or another promotion is still in the works. Randy has not officially agreed to face Brock yet, but his camp Xtreme Couture is bringing in several large Heavyweights to immediately begin training with Couture.
Antonio Nogueira and Frank Mir are to fight for the Interim Heavyweight Title in December after the conclusion of the newest TUF season in which they are coaches. Now the title seems even less significant and the UFC has unintentionally made the new season and coaches title fight a large question mark as to its purpose. And what if the giant Brock Lesnar defeats Randy? The fight with Fedor is off and is Lesnar the champ or Nogueira? The UFC has not mentioned whether the fight would be for the title or not.
Things are still murky but definitely getting interesting quick with Randy Couture back in the UFC Heavyweight mix!
Nick Diaz Camp Responds To KJ Noons Cowardice
Noons and his manager, Mark Dion, had been negotiating a new pay scale for the bout for over a month, and talks had reached a stalemate. But now the 25-year-old fighter’s courage and heart were suddenly thrust into question“I always wanted to fight Nick Diaz,” says Noons. “It’s the most marketable fight for me, the best style fight for me. I think the fans want to see it. But you have to pay for something you want to see.”
"In the Elite XC’s DVD where Diaz and I fought there are two baseball cards of Diaz and Kimbo. Hello! I won the fight and Elite XC’s promoting Diaz after I beat him? Or how about the day Elite XC flew Diaz in to do a signing on the DVD where he lost. Wow, that must have been uncomfortable Nick? Signing a DVD, and it is a fight that you lost. Why wasn’t I flown in for the signing? Elite XC gives me a hard time about comping me one extra ticket for my cousin that helped me train for my fight. I only get four tickets per show. I am the main event in Honolulu, my home town! I did not ask for any tickets for my family and friends and they gave me a hard time about one extra ticket!"
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Team Response:
Earth to KJ; you don’t have a boxing career. No one in the boxing world knows who you are. 2) Another MMA company would have paid you less and not given you a title shot, especially when you were 1-1.
3) If you will not fight Diaz due to a breach of contract by EliteXC then why would you fight Alvarez for the same terms?
This is a business not Burger King, you can’t have it ‘your way’.
Chuck Liddell makes 100s of thousands more than Keith Jardine even though he lost to him. Diaz does not complain that Kimbo makes much more. He understands marketability, why can’t you? 5) Divide this and then multiply it several times: KJ = little bitch > KJ = real champion
6) We agree you do need more Vaseline. You are used to it and damn those EliteXC guys for not using it when they bend you over.

MMA Melee 8/29/08
He is coming up on those very charges in October 9th (Happy B-Day Bro) but the UFC plans on the Shogun/Jackson fight for November. Quinton spent some time in a psychiatric ward after the arrest and two days after his release was questioned by police again after his own friends sought help as Jackson was acting very erratically and claiming he was god. Quinton has also split with resurrecting trainer Juanito Ibarra who is still waiting for an explanation from his former fighter as to why he was canned. Rampage is currently in Great Britain training with the Wolf’s Lair team and friend Michael Bisping.
Shogun’s camp recently stated they have accepted the fight and are awaiting the contracts to sign. Rua has had troubles as well recently injuring and re-injuring his knee requiring surgery after his out of shape and lackluster loss to eventual Champion Forrest Griffin. Whether the bad outing was from a recent marriage and honeymoon which led to sketchy training, or his injury, MMA fans are clamoring for the old Shogun who blasted through Rampage back in Pride FC like his former teammate Wanderlei Silva did twice. Shogun claims to be 100% heading into training for the bout which both men need to stay near the crest of the Light Heavyweight division. Let’s just hope the UFC isn’t rushing Jackson into something he is not ready for.
Kenny Florian has recently commented that in his bout with Roger Huerta, the Mexican fighter seemed slippery to the point he wondered if he had oiled up to escape Jiu-Jitsu moves. Whether that is just a racist shot that Mexicans are greasy or there really was something there, Huerta’s camp is not yet responding. UFC Ring Girl Arianny has also added to Huerta’s woes who lost his 1st UFC fight to Florian by claiming the two have broken up their relationship. "I wish the best for everybody including him but we are no longer on speaking terms. We are no longer friends." said the oh so beautiful Arianny Celeste. It is rumored that Huerta cheated on the oh so lovely and sweet Arianne with That 70's Show actress Laura Prepon. Poor bastard.
Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva will be sighted at the NSAC when he is cited for using banned steroids in his bout with Justin Eilers where he won the Elite XC Heavyweight Title. The 6’7 sometimes 300 lbs. fighter is of course denying the use of any illegal substances and is planning to fight the accusation. We all know the list of steroid cheaters who cried foul at the test results and went on to clear their name. Attention Phil Baroni, Sean Sherk, Royce Gracie, Joe Riggs, Thiago Alves, Melvin Guillard and many more who all, oh wait, they were all found guilty. No fighter yet has proved the testing system flawed and been cleared. Add Edwin Dewees to the list at the same Elite XC event as Bigfoot where he was steamrolled by Antonio “Lil Nog” Nogueira in 1 round.
Where have all the IFL alumni gone these days? Now that the IFL has folded within itself like a black hole, the crème de la crème of the IFL are resurfacing in new more stable homes. Chris Horedecki has landed with Affliction in a 3-fight deal where he will fight Dan Lauzon at their 2nd show. Vladamir Matyushenko (IFL Light Heavyweight Champ)is also signed with Affliction where he will face Antonio “Lil Nog” Nogueira in a great I’m betting highly competitive fight. The winner here is definitely at the top of the list in Affliction's Light Heavyweight scene. Ryan Schultz (IFL Lightweight Champ)is in Sengoku where he is coming off a KO loss in their Lightweight tournament. Bible thumper and head thumper Matt Horwich (IFL Middleweight Champ)is debuting with the UFC October 25th for the against Ricardo Almeida. Roy Nelson (IFL Heavyweight Champ)is becoming a huge (not unlike his belly) fan favorite and may be facing Ben Rothwell at an upcoming Affliction show. Bart Palaweski and Bas’s boy Alex Schoenauer are joining up with the WEC. Finally, Jay Hieron (IFL Welterweight Champ), one of Randy Couture’s most prized pupils, is supposed to be signing with Affliction very soon to fight Drew Fickett.
KJ Noons, Elite XC Lightweight Champion is being called a “Coward” by MMA fans and Pro Elite (Elite XC’s Company) for ducking the companies many calls about a rematch with Nick “Diablo” Diaz. KJ has had many cocky and borderline insane comments about Nick since their 1st bout was stopped by cuts and the in ring altercation after Noons win over Yves Edwards. After all his brash talking, KJ doesn’t seem to want to fight Nick again and is hiding out as a befuddled Elite XC President and Nick Diaz await the arrogant ass’s return from whatever hidey-hole he has crawled into for safety. KJ you are a bitch.
Brett “The Grim” Rogers has responded with some kind words for Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice on their upcoming debacle, err fight. "Oct 4th; that was our spot. Shamrock with his name and giant ego butted in line to get a slice of Kevin. At 103 years of age Ken usurped our rightful place against the YouTube champ. Our sincerest hope is that Ken whips Kimbo and then we can finally euthanize the “World’s Most Dangerous Man” and relegate him to some MMA dinosaur exhibit. Maybe taxidermy him and Severn and place them on a rotating pedestal where they can endless circle each other.
If Ken proves to be more sham then rock and Fergi beats him, then the Slice hype grows even greater. Dude is already more myth then Sasquatch, Chupacabra and a fucking unicorn combined. Kevin is the black Yeti.
But Fergi… the hard place is coming. By putting us off, making us wait will only make matters worse. There is nothing business about it anymore. Kimbo made it a point to go frontin’ to our boys at Big Black. But that street thug B.S. might work well with the fan bois and the Internet dorks who think your street cred means something; but Son… Brett comes from Cabrini Green; the worst 12 blocks of America. Compared to that your street is Sesame Street. So you can say it is very personal between Brett and Fergi. So go ahead and make us wait while you fight Tank and Shamrock. Hell, why not fight Hackney, Harold Howard, Fred Ettish and the rest of Jurassic MMA? And while your shuckin’ and duckin’ we will be hustlin’ and muscilin’ and when the bell finally tolls the only real question left is … do you wake up looking at canvas or arena lights?"
The Grim is going to fuck Slice up after Kimbo kills Kenny you bastard!
Man, World Victory Road’s promotion Sengoku, is just flailing about with dismal matches and zero talent. Takanori Gomi is just living in obscurity as he barely beat Seung Hwan Bang by decision at their latest event. Gomi’s talents seem to be fading as fast as his drive for the sport as he continues to face nobody of note and beat them in unimpressive fashion.
Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson are expecting their 1st child together and would like to thank the 1,000’s of men who helped dump semen into the baloney draped cum dumpster vagina of the whore/ pornstar over the years. Don’t worry about the giant head of Tito’s eventual spawn hurting poor Jenna during delivery as her nether regions have been stretched and tortured by various gang bangs and midget head insertions that the watermelon headed mutant will be able to simply walk out of her pussy twirling a cane without touching the walls. It’s like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. No really congrats you two love birds and best of luck.

MMA Tough/Trash Talk
Here is a comment from Dana White regarding his wildly idiotic views on Fedor Emelianenko, and his slaughter of Tim Sylvia a few weeks back:
“He’s not the best pound-for-pound fighter, not even close, but he’s one of the four or five best heavyweights,” said White, who undoubtedly would be chugging Emelianenko’s cock the moment he got the stoic Russian’s name on a UFC contract. “But we all have to thank him for getting rid of Tim Sylvia. He’d been stinking out the joint the last couple of years and Fedor did everyone a favor by beating him so easily and getting rid of him.”
Yes, Tim Sylvia is a joke. He has only held Dana's UFC Heavyweight Title twice, a distinction only shared with one Randy Couture, and has amassed an impressive for any Heavyweight 24-5 record and beaten such highly touted fighters as Brandon Vera, Ricco Rodriguez, Andrei Arlovski (twice), Jeff Monson, Jason Lambert, Mike Whitehead, Ben Rothwell, etc. Its amazing how when you are with the UFC, you are an elite fighter, but once you move on are just a piece of shit. And we all know Fedor's inferior record and overrated stature in the MMA world scene.
Dana, put down the glass of UFC Kool-Aid and break it up inside your asshole (you might even find Matt Hughes in there). When you open your mouth atrocities vomit out.
DREAM Lightweight Champion Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen had some encouraging words for Dana and his fledgling company:
“I would fight any one of the UFC lightweights, but the problem is that I will never put my foot in the octagon after they (UFC) tried to be funny. I would rather have bleeding hemorrhoids than fight for the UFC. The Japanese MMA audience is the best in the world. They make magic! I would rather have one true Japanese MMA supporter than one million fake mainstream supporters that will turn their back on you as soon as you lose a fight. I don’t care about things that are mainstream.”
I can't say I can argue with any of that except for the bleeding hemorrhoids part.
Paul "Semtex" Daley 18-6-2, a former Cage Rage and Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion now fighting for Elite XC, recently commented on his promotion jumping efforts and the bridges burned in route to America when he decided to join KJ Noons in trash talking MMA's respected "Diablo" Nick Diaz in explaining his recent erratic actions.
“If I had been Nick Diaz, it wouldn’t have been a problem. The guy smokes weed, starts riots on TV, doesn’t make weight, fights whoever the fuck he wants, and there’s no problem there. It’s a bit of a piss-take really.”
I'm sure Nick won't have some run-on sentence response to this jackass.
"Whoever they can find who's dumb enough to sign the dotted line. I'll cut promos on any mofo who wants to get in here. I'll throw them on the mat and put them on their head. I'm gonna stretch them all over the ring. "
When asked about possible bouts with Fedor Emelianenko, Tim Sylvia, and Andrei Arlovski, the gab gifted Barnett replied, "They're all bad asses but they ain't me." Ya just gotta love the guy.
Finally, the "Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko had these recent cocky and controversial comments come to light:
"I don't consider myself on top of the pedestal," said Emelianenko (28-1, 1 NC), who has largely been unchallenged since his only loss, which came because of a cut caused by an illegal elbow in a 2000 fight with Tsuyoshi Kohsaka.
"I have certain weaknesses and I make certain mistakes. Of course, that is frustrating, because like any athlete, I strive to get better each day. I know a lot of the media and the fans want to say I'm the best. I appreciate that, but that's not how I consider myself."
"Randy (Couture) is a living legend in this sport and it's an honor that people say they want to see me fight him," Emelianenko said. "It's our desire to fight as soon as possible. I don't like the politics and I hope politics don't prevent this fight. I'm not out to prove anything. I just want to challenge myself against the men people believe is the best in the world. This bout with Randy is one step on that road. It would be my honor and my dream to fight him and we both will do what we can to get into the ring to fight."

UFC 87 Results
After the fight when Joe Rogan was asking him who he'd fight next, Mr. BJ Penn came flying into the Octagon saying he wanted the fight and 2 belts in 2 weight classes. GSP responded, “I’m ready to fight everybody, everybody who deserves a shot. I know B.J. Penn wants it, and I’m ready to do it. Whoever they give me, I’ll do it. He deserves it.” Sounds like a good plan to me considering.......
Kenny Florian used his game plan and technical superiority to out gun Roger Huerta to another lop-sided decision. Kenflo had the rhythm of a Samurai as he put together a solid though not always exciting win in the books. Roger Huerta looked stunned at the end of the fight and completely unsure as to what is next. Now the "he's overrated" whisperings are going to full press. Kenny probably won't get a title shot with BJ with the whole GSP thing and will instead fight around December against another as yet unnamed tough opponent.
Jason MacDonald and Demian Maia had an amazing ground war that actually had so much action, near submissions, and shocking reversals of fortune, that the idiotic Minnesotan crowd seemed to enjoy the Jiu-Jitsu show. As Maia tired and Jason survived countless near death chokes, it could have gone either way, but in the final round Demian's artist like Jiu-Jitsu held true for a Lion Choke submission finish. Would have been "Fight Of The Night" if not for the great main event.
Yes Brock Lesnar fought and defeated Heath Herring and knocked him across the Octagon with one punch at the beginning, but what else did he do? He looked lost on the ground not knowing what he should do, and happy with moving enough that the fight didn't get stood up, and he could simply smother Herring into oblivion. He could've (should've) ended the fight if someone had taught him the basics (ie guillotine & rear naked choke) but either he forgot, or has absolutely nothing but his wrestling which was, at least this night, unstoppable. Then after the win Brock was able to act like an ass showing up Herring by acting as though he had caught him on a fishing line and using lame catchphrases in his speech like he was still in the WWE. The guy is a jerk and will probably fight Cheick Kongo who KO'd some old Norwegian guy.
Ben Saunders got a win and I like that guy a lot, while Rob Emerson pulled an upset over Manvel Gamburyan who came running into Rob's reach and was KO'd in a pathetic 12 seconds! Tamdan McCrory also got an upset win (I picked) over Weezer's Luke Cummo in the "Nerd War." Jon Jones and Chris Wilson also won and I will let you know if that ever matters.
I was able to defeat Judge Joe in the UFC Picks arena with 8 correct picks out of 10 total fights while Judge Joe came in with a measly 4 correct. I have witnesses for my picks even though they were not posted before the event so just sit on it. Fitch is an amazing fighter who will be back better, but damn GSP is just that good and destroyed poor Jon's face. Fuck you Brock.

Aleksander Emelianenko Now Hep Free
"I passed the medical board and my license to fight was obtained without any problems. But the fact is that in California the commission is very rigid for admittance. One of the main conditions to let you fight is the ability to pass all of your tests on time. I had to be in America by July 13, the Visa was only good until the fourteenth and my tickets were purchased in advance for the fifteenth. On the whole, I was late. They thought the organizers could agree and settle the problem but they quickly found out they would not be able to get me on the card. Instead they were able to find a suitable replacement for Paul Buentello. The laws in California are so rigid."
The MMA world was afire with rumors regarding Emelianenko’s absence from the Affliction card two weeks ago, with hepatitis being the leading rumor. According to Emelianenko, those rumors are completely false. It’s not hard to believe that California denied him a license due to late medicals as they’ve done this kind of thing before. Armando Garcia doesn’t play around. If you’re late with your medicals then you aren’t fighting in California, period.
