Randy Couture vs Dana White

Personally I don't care. If Randy Couture feels disrespected and under appreciated fine. He can sit out for the 2 years left on his contract until he is 46 and try to fight Fedor then. Dana White definitely fucked him on the "fight bonus" paying him $250,000 of the deal made for $500,00 to fight Gabriel Gonzaga, but that's the problem with these "bonuses." They are not guaranteed (even though Dana promised it to Randy) in writing, and though some fighters have come to depend on them, they are not in anyone's contract. Both sides are at fault on this one.

Randy claims Bodog Fight offered him $3 million dollars to come out of retirement and fight Fedor. He instead chose to fight Tim Sylvia in the UFC and signed a 4 fight deal. If its true, he's an idiot. He should've taken the money and the greater fight but he didn't. That's his fault and it seems his contract is pretty iron clad and he won't be able to get out of it by quitting (he is still not retired).

Dana led Randy to believe he was going to sign Fedor and he would get his dream fight (notice the overly confident picture above) and he was going to be paid for his "likeness" and receive bonuses. Dana said he is still setting up a fight for Randy in February and he is certain he will fight. Randy says he is no longer the UFC Heavyweight Champion and will not be returning to the octagon. He said, and then he said, and then he, who cares!

We know Dana runs the UFC like a selfish little bitch, but Randy signed the deal and I want to see fighting, not press conferences to rebuff press conferences. There are plenty of good fighters to step in for Randy, and Dana is the guy that said, "Fedor sucks." and that he isn't even a Top 5 MMA Heavyweight so we know he is a moron. Cut the drama, I'm going to watch ShoXC now.
