DREAM 14 Results: Diaz, Gracie, & Yamamoto Find Success

Ikuhisa Minowa defeats Imani Lee by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) 1 4:16
Kenji Osawa defeats Yoshiro Maeda by Split-Decision 15:00
Kazuyuki Miyata defeats Takafumi Otsuka by Split-Decision 15:00
Akiyo Nishiura defeats Hideo Tokoro by TKO (Punches) 1 2:51

Norifumi Yamamoto defeats Federico Lopez by KO (Punches) 1 1:41 "Kid" served notice that he is back 4 realz as he dropped his opponent with a left hook and from there went into super-sonic kill ya style.

Hiroyuki Takaya defeats Joachim Hansen by KO (Punches) 1 4:27 It was a shocking straight right hand that hurt "Hellboy" early and the right hook the put the lights out for the 1st time in Joachim's career giving Takaya a huge win. "Bancho" is just all over the map these days.

Ralek Gracie defeats Kazushi Sakuraba by Unanimous Decision 15:00 Well the Gracie took down Sakuraba in all three rounds controlling him with superior positioning and strategic strikes. Sakuraba swept him in the third and threatened with a kimura, but the referee all but ended his hopes when he intervened to adjust Gracie’s shorts. Not all that impressive but another Gracie gets the win over the "Gracie Hunter."

Nick Diaz defeats Hayato Sakurai by Submission (Armbar) 1 3:54 Diaz went for the Jiu-Jitsu game early in taking "Mach" down but the veteran returned the favor setting up the Cesar Gracie student for his game. From his back Nick worked the armbar and Hayato went for an escape only to find himself hopelessly caught and forced to tapout. Diaz continues to roll winning 7 in a row while Sakurai has dropped 3 in a row for the 1st time in his alustrous career. I believe we can all see the end nearing for the Japanese legend but he still has good fights left. Just not at a title level.

5-3 on the picking side.
