Lucas Montoya TKO’d Jimmy Spicuzza with Punches at 4:11 of the initial round.
WSOF 12 Main Card

Matt Sayles defeated Bryson Hansen via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after a tough start.

Hansen put Sayles down in the first, but Sayles rebounded in the 2nd & 3rd with volume. Nothing to write home about yet but we’ll stay tuned to see how the undefeated prospect develops.

The judges raped Alexis Vila as they incorrectly score the bout 30-29, 30, 29, 29-28 for Brandon Hempleman in an absolute robbery.

Brandon stuffed the early takedown attempts from the Olympic Bronze medalist as they men went right to work. Vila landed the 1st significant punch with a stiff overhand right but Hempleman took i. Alexis started to get his left jab going but began whiffing on that big overhand right. Some body kicks from Vila after he fails at another takedown attempt. Hempleman lands a nice leg kick to end the round. (10-9 Vila)

The legend, the lovable, the amazing, Renzo Gracie joins the broadcast for another touch of class! An overhand right lands again for Vila but he is missing more than he is landing though Hempleman isn’t doing much early. A forearm strike and a body shot land for Alexis but neither man is establishing himself. Bryan blocks a leg kick but eats a punch behind it. The “Exorcist” is landing a bit more with 0:45 to go but misses a sloppy takedown. (10-9 Vila)

Its the final round, and Alexis lands a good combination to start off. Another terrible shot from Vila who seems to be tiring. A low blow from Brandon and Alexis takes a moment to recover which is key, since he was beginning to slow down. The combatants start back up and Hempleman is trying to get busier. Good leg kicks from the blue corner but Vila lands an answer to the jaw. “Hot Rod” is landing but needs to pour in on as he is two rounds behind on the cards. Alexis is pressing now with a minute to go and there is no urgency from Brandon. The fight ends and “the best looking Gracie,” steps away from the announcing booth which was the best part of the fight. (10-9 Hempleman)

* Holy fucking shit! The judges score the bout for Brandon Hempleman in a horrendous turn of events! This is a terrible decision and the judges should be taken out and shot for this one!

Dan “The Beast” Severn, WSOF President Ray Sefo, and Renzo Gracie are shown in a nice little interview with “El Guapo” Bas Rutten.

Elvis Mutapcic defeated Kelvin Tiller by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
Back to the action for the catchweight fight at 195 lbs. Tiller times his opponent up and takes Elvis to the mat to begin the fight. Mutapcic gets back to his feet and takes a push kick to the pills to halt said action for the moment. We start back up and Elvis earns a takedown and moves into side control and a crucifix position. Elvis works for mount and Kelvin reverses position and takes the top. Tiller lets Mutapcic up and a miss from Kelvin lets Elvis end the round on top and prolly steals the round (though with tonights judging, who knows). (10-9 Mutapcic)

The 2nd begins, Elvis eats some punches but gets a single leg and takes Tiller to the mat. Some elbows from the top by Mutapcic who is controls the round for its duration. (10-9 Mutapcic)

We start the final round, and Kelvin is hands down, popping out his jab. Elvis locks up a standing headlock and drags Tiller to the canvas yet again. An elbow from the bottom cuts open Mutapcic. Elvis is unaffected and works for side control but cannot attain it. Back in Tiller’s guard and Kelvin is wanting a triangle choke but Mutapcic is aware and avoids the move to shut Tiller out unless the judges continue their form. (10-9 Mutapcic)

Ronny Markes defeated Cully Butterfield by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
We begin the fight with Ronny, “I refuse to make weight no matter what class I compete at” Markes, against the chubby Butterball who actually hit the limit. Anywho, Ronny lands a few strikes moving in and tries to take Cully‘s back. He cannot but finishes the takedown into side position. Now Markes takes the back and is looking for the RNC. Eventually, Cully escapes, but not before he has last the round. (10-9 Markes)

The 2nd has begun, and Bas mentions Fedor Emelianenko in passing which still gives the MMAFO staff instant boners. TMI and Markes takes Butterfield down and latches onto the back yet again. Cully gets on top and does nothing until Markes re-takes the position on an armbar attempt and unloads for the final 10 seconds. (10-9 Markes)

The final round mercifully begins for this debacle, as Cully catches a kick and takes Markes down for a moment. Eventually, Ronny takes his back again for a period until Cully reverses and Markes is cut open. The fight ends and who cares who won? (10-9 Butterfield)

Luis Palomino KO’s Lewis Gonzalez with a Knee at 4:42 of the very 1st round!
The Main Event kicks off with the men trading until a leg kick drops Gonzalez for a moment but he pops back up quickly. Another stern leg kick followed by a blistering left hook and the “Baboon” is getting busy. Luis has cut Lewis on top of the head and the left hook rocks Gonzalez. Leg kick and a high kick catches Gonzalez with Palomino’s knee and Lewis goes to sleep! Bang! Impressive stuff from the new #1 contender Luis Palomino who impresses on a terrible card!

MMAFO went 7-1-1 on the picks. What's the odd 1 out you ask? C'mon, Alexis Vila got fucked and though we won't count it as a win, we sure as shit won't count it as a loss. Our site, we can do what we want.
