Fedor Emelianenko's Possible Opponents For His MMA Return!

By now everyone in the MMA scene knows, "The Last Emperor," Fedor Emelianenko is returning to the fight game. July 14, 2015, the most dominant Heavyweight fighter of all time announced he was stepping down from his position as Russian Ministry of Sport, and was officially back in training for a MMA bout! Though no home promotion has been announced, it is highly likely that Emelianenko will be hooking back up with friend/promoter Scott Coker in Bellator. There is the obvious possibility that the return bout is done in Russia's M-1 promotion, but that just doesn't seem worthy enough for the GOAT. It would be a very long shot that Fedor ends up in the UFC with their past history.

So, in the world of Bellator Heavyweights, who could possibly step in to face Vladimirovich?

Kimbo Slice
If you think Scott Coker, Bellator, Viacom, and Spike TV wouldn't love to match Fedor Emelianenko versus Kimbo Slice you are a crazy person. Though true "educated" MMA fans like those of us at MMAFO would wretch at the thought of someone the caliber of Kimbo getting a shot against "The Last Emperor," the fight would make insane money! 

Tito Ortiz
We don't know when Fedor is planning to return, and granted "Frito" has a looming bout for the Bellator Light Heavyweight title against Liam McGeary, but we're guessing the business man in "Whoretits" would give up the shot at lesser gold for a chance meeting with the greatest eva.

Bobby Lashley
This guy is boring as hell and just has not connected with fans the way Brock Lesnar did upon a similar path. Place him opposite of Fedor, and win or lose his name will be raised.

Muhammed Lawal
"King Mo" likes to mess around at Heavyweight a bit and has already proven he can beat Bellator bigguns. "Mo" would chat this fight up nicely, which is a bonus considering Emelianenko doesn't enjoy pressing the flesh, and he has "name" value.

Vitaly Minakov
Long before Fedor retired, he mentioned in an interview that the perfect way to leave the sport, would be on a loss to a fellow countryman. Minakov is the undefeated Bellator Heavyweight Champion and perhaps Fedor wishes to return and raise the profile of a fellow Russian who is getting zero love in the press.

Ken Shamrock
Just kidding. Though it would be funny to watch Fedor murder this joke.

Not matter what sacrificial lamb is led to the slaughter that is "The Last Emperor," MMAFO will be there, cheering on our favorite fighter of all time, and the greatest fighter of all time in all his endeavors.
