September 7, 2018
du Arena
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Main Card on PPV (1pm/CT):
Lightweight Champion #1 Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0) -450 vs. Interim Champion #3 Dustin Poirier (25-5) +360
"The Eagle" landed in 2012 and amassed an 11-0 record for the promotion while capturing the belt from the now disgraced Conor McGregor. "Nurmy" is an amazing and relentless grappler but Allah damn he's a scumbag. MMA fans (&the UFC) have proven time and time again that they don't care about the character of people, but MMAFO does.

Ziyavudin Magomedov The Russian oligarch and co-owner of the champs team and is currently in prison for embezzling 2 billion (with a B) rubles and the "organization of a criminal community."
Ali Abdelaziz The most corrupt MMA manager in the game today, a "double-agent" recruited by the NYPD and FBI who was cast out for being a "deceitful," and multiple conflicts of interest in his WSOF dealings. All of that and he is a wanna be tough guy who thinks he's a fighter.
* Zubaira Tukhugov "Khabib's" teammate who felt justified in jumping McGregor in the cage after the bout attacking him, and was suspended for taking the illegal substance ostarine in '16.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov "Nurmy's cousin who also jumped Conor and was seen in a now deleted video offering a homeless man money to do pushups while he and cuz Khabib mocked him.
Allah be praised these guys are cunts.
Meanwhile, you have Poirier over here donating cage worn clothing to charities, personally donating 500 backpacks filled with school supplies, and is working with Justin Wren's group that can be found https://www.thegoodfightgroup.com/. And Dustin doesn't even profess to be a moral "man of God" like Nurmagomedov.
Anywho, it's AKA versus ATT, evil versus good, and unfortunately, the bad guy is gonna win. The MMA Gods always seem to be unkind and Dustin would need a lot of their help here. Poirier is a very talented fighter, but he has inconsistent takedown defense and "Nurmy" isn't looking to play around on the feet. Dustin always seems to get himself into a war, and though he has matured, he still gets into bad situations often. The American will need to land a punch as hard as a diamond to get things going his way. Maybe Poirier can land some elbows from his back but the Russian is going to be wearing him out with relentless punishment.

WiNNER-Khabib The Dirtbag Nurmagomedov by R.4 TKO
#10 Edson Barboza (20-7) -150 vs. Paul Felder (16-4) +130 [Rematch]
We already did the damn thing back in '15 and not much has changed. Both guys are still talented 155ers but Eddy reached his ceiling two years ago while Felder has never been a Top 10er like Barboza has most of his career. These guys know how to make a fun fight but the ending is the same.
WiNNER-Edson Barboza by Decision (again)

Islam Makhachev (17-1) -345 vs. Davi Ramos (10-2) +285
Islam is a photocopy of his buddy Khabib Nurmagomedov and just like a photocopy, he's not quite as good. "Nurmy" is threatening to retire (please do and fuck off) and "Maybe" Makhachev will make a run.
The Team Nogueira student isn't going to be much more than a test. He's got power and submissions but he's no special talent.
WiNNER-Islam Makhachev by Yawn Decision

#6 Curtis Blaydes (11-2) -500 vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov (20-4) +400
Every time we think Curtis is a title contender he runs into Francis Ngannou for the TKO loss. B-b-Blaydes (yes we know that is a mean joke) is going to defeat a lot of contenders in the big boy division with his staunch wrestling skills which the fans will not appreciate.
"Abrek" has got some hands but he's also 10 years older than his opponent and less skilled.

#8 Joanne Calderwood (13-4) +185 vs. #9 Andrea Lee (11-2) -225
"Bad MoFo JoJo" is a MMAFO favorite and a wonderful lady. That being said, this is going to be tough sledding for her. "Dr. Kneevil" isn't a natural athlete and though she has improved her grappling, but it's still not great. The Scot is still a good kickboxer but she takes a lot of hits and doesn't wear damage the best. We still love you Joanne.
"KGB" has been through a highly publicized domestic abuse situation with a Nazi scum of a (hopefully now ex) husband and MMAFO wishes her health and happiness in that personal arena. Lee likes to go clinch work like her opponent but she doesn't have any power striking, though she is remarkably better on the ground than Calderwood.
(sigh) We want the lovely Joanne to win but it's more likely Andrea garners more points and possibly gains the sub if Calderwood is off her game. Either way, the winner is in a good position in the newly formed Flyweight division.

WiNNER-Bitch Cheater by Decision
Liana Jojua (7-2) -145 vs. Sarah Moras (5-5) +125
"Mgeli" is a fellow grappler but if she can go for more than a minute, she'll have a massive advantage over "Cheesecake" who is destined to return to the minor leagues. This is truth people.

Prelims on UFC Fight Pass (9am/CT):
Belal Muhammad (15-3) -365 vs. Takashi Sato (15-2) +305
Sato has power in his hands but this should be "RTN" all day. What does his nickname mean again?

Nordine Taleb (15-6) -120 vs. Muslim Salikhov (14-2) +100
We were high on Taleb at one time but he really makes some glaring errors in the cage and he's 38 now.
"The "King of Kung Fu" got caught sleeping in his UFC debut but bounced back in his 2nd attempt with a nice knockout. He also got that oh so rare KO of Melvin Guillard (HaHaHaHa!) a couple of years ago so we love him for that!
Upset Pick WiNNER-Muslim Salikhov by Rd.2 KO

Omari Akhmedov (18-4-1) -120 vs. Zak Cummings (23-6) +100
We like the "Wolverine" much better at 185 and it appears like Zak is disinterested in the cage these days. We pick accordingly.
