Super Hulk Tournament

In a true Japanese MMA style/spectacle, FEG has announced its second tournament series of 2009. It will be an 8-man Open Weight Grand Prix for DREAM 9 on May 26th. The freak show dubbed the "Super Hulk Tournament" features Super Heavyweights as well as lighter weight class fighters and an infamous rookie making his MMA debut.

• Ikuhisa "Punk" Minowa (41-30-8) vs Bob "The Beast" Sapp (10-3-1) No stranger to the little guy role, the Minowa will be outweighed by around 165 lbs.
• Rameau Sokoudjou (5-4) vs Jan Nortje (2-5) The 6'11' Jan, a former K-1 fighter turned lackluster MMA fighter, will outweigh Soko by around 128 lbs.
• Gegard Mousasi (24-2-1) vs Mark Hunt (5-5) Probably the best 2 fighters matched up, 2008's Fighter Of The Year Gegard has wanted to test the upper weight classes and now gets his chance against the dangerous New Zealand striker.
• Jose Canseco (0-0) vs Hong Man Choi (1-2) Yes that steroid using Baseball moron is looking for more publicity and premature death by stepping in with the "Techno Goliath" who is 7'2' 350 lbs. of kickboxing machine.
  

5 K-1 fighters in the tournament, 1 Middleweight in Minowa, 1 Light Heavyweight in Soko, and who knows what Canseco and the growing Mousasi will weigh by fight time. The rest of the field are all Super Heavyweights as the David vs Goliath Japanese spectacle continues.
