Main Bouts:
"The Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko (30-1) vs. Brett "The Grim" Rogers (10-0) Not many surprises here as we know what both men bring to the table. Rogers is going for the bum rush instant KO, while Fedor will try to take him down exposing the glaring weakness in his game. Save for a lucky Fujita style punch, Brett doesn't have the tools to best the greatest fighter that ever lived. Maybe he gets lucky and Fedor falls, but I doubt it. Emelianenko weathers the early storm and eventually wears down the big fella enough for a submission schooling. Fun fact:Did you know Fedor has only seen the 3rd round in 2 of his last 18 fights?
WINNER-The Last Emperor by Submission Rd.2
Middleweight Title Fight Jake Shields (23-4-1) vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller (22-6) Jake is the hot ticket these days but lets not forget, his striking is sub par and Miller's Jiu-Jitsu is probably at about the same level as Shields. Forget that Jake used to be a Welterweight, the size is a non-issue as Shields has added the weight and carries it well, instead focusing on the ridiculous 14 fight winning steak he holds. Miller can keep the pace for 5 rounds, can Jake, who did gas against Paul Daley? I'd say yes. Jake knows its time to step up the game here for the title and the biggest fight of his career, while Miller's dedication to the sport is always in question. Shields is on a roll and has a new confidence that carries him over all the "monkeys" in Mayhem's corner.

Gegard Mousasi (26-2-1) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (7-4) Gegard is rapidly climbing the Light Heavyweight ranks while Sokojoke toils in the senseless "Super-Hulk" tournament in Japan to hone his (I have trouble saying this with a straight face) skills. Mousasi's title will not be on the line and this fight won't go 3 rounds as Rameau's awful cardio will not allow it, causing him to wilt under the pressure of the #2 Light Heavyweight in the world.

Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum (12-4-1) vs. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (13-1) Fabricio seems to be back to form after getting fired from the UFC for some overweight and boring fights. Bigfoot is just enormous and can throw really well for a guy with gigantism. What he can do on the floor is a lot less clear. Werdum is just an excellent Jiu-Jitsu artist and I can't really think of a Heavyweight better at the game. This is going to be a close fight I believe, and I wouldn't be shocked if Werdum won, but I expect Antonio to keep the distance with those long arms, and strike enough at Vai, who has been exposed more than once as an awful striker who can be hurt, to win the points game.

Prelims:
Marloes Coenen (16-3) vs. Roxanne Modafferi (13-4) The ladies hook em up as Marloes from Holland and the world famous Golden Glory team and Roxanne turns on the red light stepping in for the injured Erin Toughill on 10 days notice. Roxy actually defeated Coenen in 2007 via Split-Decision at K-Grace. Marlo will enjoy a power advantage as Roxy usually fights 10 or more pounds lighter. That will be the difference as Marloes stuffs the takedowns and works enough to score a future destruction at the hands of Champion "Femborg." I just enjoy the fact that Strikeforce is quietly building a sweet 145 lb. Women's division with some real talented fighters.

Mark Miller (14-5) vs. Deray Davis (5-1-1) Mark fought twice last year losing both and has not competed at all in 2009. Deray is a bit of a newbie in the sport who hasn't fought at near the level Miller has. Still, Mark is very susceptible to the (T)KO and will fail at the stand up game once again.

Christian Uflacker (1-0) vs. Jonatas Novaes (4-2) Speaking of newbies, both of these fighters are green as the Hulk so flip a coin.

Louis Taylor (4-0) vs. Nate Moore (3-0) The "Battery" brings his fists to bang with Nate and his slick submission skills.

Jeff Curran (29-12-1) vs. Dustin Neace (17-13-1) The veteran "Big Frog" was bounced from the WEC after 4 straight losses and tries to get off the snide against Dustin "Not Really Impressive" Neace. This is a nice fight for Jeff to show his submission prowess and get that 30th career win.
