Ultimate Fight Night 72 Glasgow Results: Bisping & Calderwood Win!

* It should be noted that MMAFO had round by round results for the fights that went to decision. Then the Internet crashed and we lost everything. So fuck us right? Anywho, we're not writing all that again so look it up somewhere else. Or not.

FOX Sports 1 Main Card Results

Michael Bisping defeated Thales Leites via Split decision  (47-48, 49-46, 48-47).

Evan Dunham Upset Ross Pearson by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Joseph Duffy submitted Ivan Jorge via Triangle Choke at 3:05 of the very 1st round to continue to impress.

Duffy just be wrecking fools. He may not talk as loud as his fellow countryman Conor McGregor, but he is really making a reputation as a finisher. Joe's boxing and head movement are impressive enough but when Jorge pressed Duffy against the cage, the Irishman pushed off the fence with his feet and transitioned with a roll into the triangle choke. It was really a thing of beauty to watch. "Submission of the Night"

Joanne Calderwood defeated Cortney Casey-Sanchez by Unanimous Decision 30-27, 29-28, 30-27) in an exciting comeback win! "Fight of the Night"

Leon Edwards defeated Pawel Pawlak via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Steven Ray TKO’d Leonardo Mafra with Punches at 2:30 of the initial round.

Ray really had the crowd roaring for him early and he delivered for the home crowd fans with a right hook that had Leonardo dancing. Steven then started landing the left hook as Mafra tried to fire back but two more left hooks ended the fight! Mafra looked oddly slow for the entire fight with his rickety style.

FOX Sports 1 Prelim Results

Patrick Holohan defeated Vaughan Lee by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Well, that should be the last we see of ole Vaughan Lee in the UFC.

Ilir Latifi KO’d Hans Stringer via Punches a mere 0:58 into the 1st round.

"The Sledgehammer" right hand connects dropping Hans. Then one more just for fun, and that was a wrap. Dude hits friggin' hard! "KO of the Night"

Mickael Lebout defeated Teemu Packalen by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).

Robert Whiteford TKO’d Paul Redmond via Punches at 3:04 of  the opening round.

Whiteford was connecting often as this fight began using counter striking while Paul stood in front of him which is never a good idea. A left hook dropped Redman and Robert finished the fight jumping into the crowd to celebrate!

UFC Fight Pass Prelim Results

Jimmie Rivera TKO’d Marcus Brimage with Punches at 1:29 of  the 1st round.

Hopefully, that will be the last we see of the "Bama Beast" in the UFC! We're haters man, what can we say. MMAFO has long loathed Brimage and it was great to see the cocky one just get annihilated. Rivera landed 1-2's to the top of the dome over and over until wobbly Marcus danced into the mat.

Daniel Omielanczuk TKO’d Chris De La Rocha via Punches a measly 0:48 into the 1st contest of the night.

Daniel hadn't exactly impressed in his initial two outings with the UFC, so we took a flier on the unknown. That proved incorrect as the 1st two right hands landed for Omielanczuk and hurt Chris. Another flush right hand would collapse DLR and that was that.
