Free Nick Diaz

Aaaand, the 'NAC has officially gone crazy. The Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended Nick Diaz for 5 years and fined him 30% of his fight purse after failing a post fight drug test for Marijuana after UFC 183. It was Nick's 3rd such failure. His opponent that evening, Anderson Silva, was suspended for a single year and fined though he used performance enhancing drugs called steroids. This is absurd ruling from a group of megalomaniacs ignored all logic and instead chose the pursuit of a personal vendetta against Mr. Diaz. The result is sickening and has the MMA world in an uproar. 

The joke of a commission didn't even listen to the defense or the evidence they provided which called into question the validity of the test results.

Notes

Nick's attorney who is planning an appeal to the ludicrous decision told ESPN, "I think it was a completely arbitrary and capricious decision, You heard my opening statement. Based on the facts, if they were to make such a decision, it would be ripe for judicial review. This was a kangaroo court and you heard the commission: their decision wasn't based on fact. It wasn't based on evidence."

"One commissioner said, 'Your attorneys were very persuasive, but you don't respect us. So here's a five-year ban.' "

Diaz has a prescription for medicinal marijuana.

A urinalysis test cannot determine when THC was taken into the human body.

Marijuana is NOT a performance enhancing drug.

Chael Sonnen has failed multiple drug tests for steroids and was never given such harsh penalties and was in fact referred to as, "a friend of the commission," though Sonnen has been proven a liar on multiple occasions.

Floyd Mayweather has a litany of domestic abuse charges against him and very little was done because of the amount of money he makes for Nevada.

As of 9-15-15, 90% of fans who voted believe the NAC came down too hard on Nick Diaz according to a Bloody Elbow poll.

There were many, many more fighters who are taking to Diaz' aid and rightly so.

Nothing the NAC did was ethical from their actions, to openly laughing at the defense team during the proceedings. The NAC was embarrassed by the facts presented to them and the fact they did not have a logical response to actual evidence!
