UFC 204 Results: The Count Is King In Manchester!

Main Card Results:

Michael Bisping defeated Dan Henderson via Unanimous Decision (49-46, 48-47 x2) in their epic rematch!

Well, "The Count" got the job done but by the skin of his teeth. "Hendo" came out looking for a replay of their initial meeting when he rocked Bisping to the ground with the dreaded "H-Bomb" and then tried to land the follow up forearm of death, but it missed. Henderson tried to put in the coffin nails but Bisping rolled, fought, and scrambled for his life getting back to his feet. Mike survived and took over in the 2nd round picking at Dan who again dropped the Brit in the final seconds of the round after which called its scoring into question. From there, Bisping would do enough to win the 3rd & 4th rounds but not by setting his opponent on fire. Henderson hobbled around the cage awaiting the opportunity to use his right hand yet again. It all seemed tied going into the final round and by the narrowest of margins, Mike retained his title against a 46 year old man! 

To be fair and completely honest, MMAFO, who are big Bisping fans, scored the bout 48-47 for "Hendo," but we're happy with the way the official judges scored things. Many fans gave Danny a 10-8 1st round, but that is folly because when Mike hits the deck, he is immediately scrambling and defending despite how people felt watching things. Excitement breeds mistakes but generally it comes down to how you scored the final round and we wouldn't be angry at either scorecard. 

It wasn't pretty or dominating, but Bisping has now avenged himself against his greatest rival and is 2-0 in rematches. 

Gegard Mousasi destroyed Vitor Belfort via TKO at 2:43 of the 2nd round.

Whoopin' dat ass. Whoopin' dat ass. Mousasi came out with his bored swagger, wagged a "no" finger at Belfort after his attempted onslaught, and then took the "Old Lion" apart. Vitor looks like absolute garbage off of TRT and Gegard handled him like a child. The "Dreamcatcher" is still stuck in the Middleweight quagmire but the win gets him a nice mohawk scalp.

Jimi Manuwa Upset Ovince St. Preux by KO at 2:38 of the 2nd round.

Stefan Struve submitted Daniel Omielanczuk via D’arce Choke at 1:41 of the 2nd round.

Mirsad Bektic tapped Russell Doane by Rear Naked Choke at 4:22 of the 1st round.
