UFC Fight Night 132 Cowboy vs. Edwards: Fight Card, Predictions + Odds

June 23, 2018
Singapore Indoor Stadium
Singapore

Main Card on UFC Fight Pass (7am/CT):

Donald Cerrone (33-10,1) +195 vs. Leon Edwards (14-3) -215

Boy Leon thinks he is just the shit these days. This guy went from technical bore, to suddenly believing he deserves title shots and roses.

It's time for "Cowboy" to serve a reality check to Edwards. Donnie isn't going to contend for a title ever again but let's not get it twisted. "Cowboy" is a far better fighter and has faced a level of competition that Leon will never even see. Cerrone is going to bring Edwards back down to Earth in dramatic fashion and remind people he ain't done yet.

Upset Pick WINNER-Donald Cerrone by Rd.2 TKO

Ovince Saint Preux (22-11) +135 vs. Tyson Pedro (7-1) -145

OSP, who fucking knows? I mean the guy can do impressive things or just shit in the middle of the ring like an amateur.

The Aussie seems to have more of a future ahead of him and he should be much slicker on the canvas. Pedro has some pop in his hands though the technique is still a work in progress.

Upset Pick WINNER-Tyson Pedro by Rd.2 TKO

Jessica Rose-Clark (8-4,1) -155 vs. Jessica Eye (12-6,1) +145

Once again MMAFO would like to remind the world that if you are not paying attention to Eye's Twitter account, you are missing out on a goldmine.

Anywho, Jessica is likely the winner.

WINNER-Jessica Rose-Clark by Decision

Jingliang Li (14-5) -250 vs. Daichi Abe (6-1) +230

This is a waste of our time and yours.

WINNER-Jingliang Li by Decision

Prelims on UFC Fight Pass (3:30am/CT):

Teruto Ishihara (11-5-2) +435 vs. Petr Yan (8-1) -500

"Yashabo" talked a lot of shit about his bitches and whatnot, only to turn into a bitch by being terrible in the cage and making all the wrong decisions.

We're excited to welcome Yan to America and we're interested to see how Petr fares stateside. Take "Mini-Mama-Russia" to play the game properly.

WINNER-Petr Yan by Decision

Felipe Arantes (18-9-1,2) +100 vs. Song Yadong (10-3, 2) -110

Nothing to see here.

Upset Pick WINNER-Felipe Arantes by Decision

Rolando Dy (9-6,1) +140 vs. Shane Young (11-4) -150

Whoooooo cares?

WINNER-Shane Young by Decision

Kenan Song (13-4) -260 vs. Hector Aldana (4-0) +240

It's been 5 years (5!) since Aldana has been in the cage (not counting the amateur bouts in TUF Latin America 2) but back in the day he was a hard puncher. So that's something.

Can't say we see much out of Song either but he did get the knockout in his promotional debut last November.

Somebody needs to show something here for us to take note. This is the 1st of two coin flips on the card.

WINNER-Kenan Song by Decision

Shinsho Anzai (10-2) +450 vs. Jake Matthews (13-3) -525

The improbable "Animal" seems to find a way to win in spite of a lack of clear talent in any area of MMA. He's aggressive, always a fun fight, and never says die. Ya gotta love the guy.
"The Celtic Kid" is takedown machine and though his striking has yet to show real improvement, he has tenacity and the gift of youth.

We enjoy watching Anzai go to work but it's hard to see a path to victory though that has never stopped him before. Matthews can dominate on the ground and equal Shinsho striking so the percentages lean toward the Aussie.

WINNER-Jake Matthews by Decision

Viviane Pereira (13-1) -160 vs. Xiaonan Yan (8-1) +150

MMAFO is done with Pereira. She is unwatchable. Viviane just refuses to do work in there like a female version of Rashad Evans. Just awful. We're rooting for the 1st Chinese woman signed to the UFC.

Upset Pick WINNER-Xiaonan Yan by Decision

Matt Schnell (11-4) +160 vs. Naoki Inoue (11-0) -185

"Schelly" has a weak chin but Inoue isn't going to test him there. Naoki has good in-fight I.Q. and should find a way to win on the cards.

WINNER-Naoki Inoue by Decision

Melinda Fabian (4-3-2) +270 vs. Ji Yeon Kim (7-1-2) -360

The Budapest fighter made her promotional debut last December and promptly got the unsatisfying Draw since she just could not pull the trigger to punch.

Kim was gifted a win over Justine Kish last out but she didn't do much to impress. At the very least, "Fire Fist" with throw.

And so, nothing much to see here. Flip a coin because we don't care.

WINNER-Ji Yeon Kim by Decision

Jenel Lausa (7-4) +220 vs. Yuta Sasaki (20-5-2) -240

"Ulka" is 3-4 in the UFC and just all over the place but there have been impressive moments while the Philippino has done nothing to make one expect he'll remain employed for very long.

WINNER-Yuta Sasaki by Decision
