Bellator 214 Fedor vs. Bader: Fight Card

Main Card:

Heavyweight World Grand Prix Final
Fedor Emelianenko (38-5,1) +240 vs. Ryan Bader (26-5) -280

Once again, and for perhaps the last time, "The Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko, the G.O.A.T., will step into an MMA cage to compete for gold. For 18+ years, the pride of mother Russia has battled in countless wars and in 44 professional bouts, he's amassed a cult following and a spectacular resume.

Emelianenko has won 7 of his last 8 and cruised through the tourney dispatching Frank Mir and Chael Sonnen, both in a single round! Now the Red Devil focuses on the dark side.

"Darth" Bader has found nothing but success in Bellator. Ryan has won all 4 of his bouts and captured the Light Heavyweight title and has never looked better in his career.

The Power MMA fighter has all the tools to beat Fedor. Bader has that killer takedown/wrestling game that has always vexed Emelianenko, and heavy hands as well. The speed nods to youth but, BUT, can you ever count out Fedor? No! Bader has a tendency to make big mistakes and his chin is a bit suspect. Fedor can still knock the sun black and the guy who was knocked out by Tito Ortiz of all people, can still fall hard. Critics and odds be damned, Fedor finds that gold brass ring at the end of the line, or, MMAFO finds ourselves weeping uncontrollably to begin the year.
