MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)

MMA (or Mixed Martial Arts) is a fighting style that blends boxing, kick boxing, judo, karate, muay thai, jiu jitsu, wrestling, submissions, and many other forms of fighting.
I will be updating this site with any important news, updates, and even rumors. I will also be picking fights for upcoming PPV's. You can bet with my picks but I would like to point out I do not promote gambling or any illegal activity of any kind.
My record of picks from Ultimate Fight Night 1, UFC 54, Bushido 9, UFC 55, Pride 30, and UFC 56 stands at 35 correct and11 wrong.
MMA News, Notes & Rumors:
  • Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Tito Ortiz, Karo Parisyan, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, & Ricco Rodriguez have all formed a "super training camp" together. All of these men have major fights coming up soon (except for Tito Ortiz). It will be interesting to see what results these men achieve together!
  • Tim Sylvia, Chuck Liddell, and Jens Pulver have all signed, each to play a white supremacist in a new Laurence Fishburn and Paul Walker film.
  • Tito Ortiz has officially been offered a contract from Pride FC. The money is said to be around the same the UFC offered.
  • Ian "The Machine" Freeman, who was recently forced to retire from MMA due to injury, has been given a job as a fight commentator. Cagewarriors Fighting Championships signed him to MC their events.
  • Legend Royce Gracie will return to MMA on New Years's Eve against Japanese favorite Yoshohiro Akiyama. The fight will be on a K-1 card with MMA rules.
  • Matt "The Law" Lindland will return to MMA action (since being screwed by UFC) to Cage Rage 14, December 3rd versus Antonio Schrembri.
  • Vitor Belfort returns! Vitor will be at Cage Rage 14 against Antony Rea. How will Vitor react in his return since losing to Tito Ortiz?
  • Pride Fighting Championships has announced plans to hold a PPV here in the United States. The plan is for the event to be held in California possibly at the Staples Center.
  • Rumors are running wild that Professional Wrestling promoter Paul Heyman (of ECW fame) will be starting his own MMA organization. A show called "Mixed Martial Arts Competition II" and will be held in Philadelphia at the former ECW Arena. Coincidence, or could this be Paul's handiwork. The show is slated for December 3rd, around the same time Paul Heyman's WWE contract is set to expire.
  • Matt "The Law" Lindland has officially signed a 3-fight deal with the newly resurrected WFA organization. Rumors are that Matt will go up in weight and fight Tito Ortiz (who may soon become co-owner of WFA) though nothing is official.
