UFC 130 Post Post: Jackson Is A Moron, Nelson Angers The Boss, & Rick Story Welterweight MVP

Lets not pretend Quinton Jackson is a smart man. The guy is an ignorant asshole who lashed out at interviewer Ariel Helwani because he doesn't understand what is going on when the interviewer speaks English. Jackson still doesn't care about MMA and is getting by on his natural talents without training at a proper level. He has stated numerous times that he wants a movie paycheck instead and I for one wish him the best of luck sooner rather than later. "Rampage" isn't into the sport anymore and I'm not into watching him go through the motions over inferior non-threatening fighters. Instead of "Rampage" vs Jon Jones, he should meet the winner of Ryan Bader vs Tito Ortiz or Vladamir Matushenko. You do not reward fighters with title shots after average performances. Quinton will probably make all the excuses about his inured/fractured hand and avoid the title shot anyway.

I don't care what they do with Matt Hamill. He proved once again that he is a non-factor at Light Heavyweight. He's just an interesting story with a movie about his life debuting soon.

Frank Mir and Roy Nelson both looked like awful Heavyweights that could be fighting on Bellator. Yes Mir landed a series of knees in the 1st round but he never looked good against the giant sloth. After the 1st round Frank slowed considerably while Nelson was exhausted winging his punches and leaning on his knees. Dana White is correct that this was embarrassing and though Roy kept the press laughing he now faces a meeting with the boss on Friday to "discuss his future." My guess would be "lose weight and take this seriously or Zuffa will (rightly) cut you." Meeting adjourned.

Frank Mir may have suffered a broken jaw and broken rib in the fight which does excuse his lack of air during the fight. Mir recovers and looks to the winner of Brendan Schaub vs Antonio Nogueira for a future fight.

Somebody go up there and tell Stefan Struve that at his current height, he needs to learn to tuck in his shattering chin and learn a semblance of defense to counter his ability to find ways to get lamped in fights he is winning. The 4 (T)KO's cannot be ignored.

Travis Browne is fun to watch but the Hawaiians winging and leaping shots aren't going to suffice as he journeys up the ladder. Mike Russow would be a nice test for Travis next.

Rick Story's aggression makes him look a bit like a mini-Wanderlei Silva. That's 6 in a row in the nasty Welterweight division against tough talent. This kid needs and wants a big test calling out the perennial #2, Jon Fitch for a fight. That sounds perfect to me! However, Fitch would never take it. Fine, how about Carlos Condit or even Josh Koscheck?

What do you do with Thiago Alves? The guy is going to stay near the top and knock off potential prospects (much like Jon Fitch) without earning that 2nd shot at the title. Jake Shields seems like the obvious choice for the "Pitbull" and we'll decide the future then.

I personally think the UFC missed out big here when they didn't tap Brian Stann to coach against Michael Bisping on the next TUF season. America vs. England seems natural and why would we want to watch the jackass "Mayhem" who already has an annoying reality TV show? Anywho, the "All-American" is rolling and maybe now he'll get Wanderlei Silva if the legend can best Chris Leben in the coming months.

Jorge Santiago, chin chin chin.

Miguel Torres got jobbed by the officials in a bout which I think we all saw it coming. We know the judges don't know what they are looking at and even announcer Joe Rogan broached the idea during the broadcast. The fact that people are telling "Angel" that he should have known that is as retarded as Matt Hamill. Deaf means retarded right? Miguel is fighting correctly off his back scoring and looking for submissions while "MM" lays on top of him playing defense. IT IS THE JUDGES JOB to be educated enough to see the action where it is. I'm tired of people blaming the fighters for not changing their games to suit ignorant judges. This is backwards people! There are still a ton of future fights for Torres whose climb back to the top just got longer. I am curious to see if the speedy Demetrious Johnson has any offense in his arsenal besides a shot followed by L&P.

A final congratulations to the Nevada State Athletic Commission who allowed monitors ringside for teh 1st time ever. The judges were on the wrong station.

Bla bla bla the event was decent but not great with the co-headliners bringing the show down. Not worth buying but Zuffa did what they could with the true main event dropping out and I always love their free fights on Facebook & Spike TV.

Brock Lesnar had 12 inches of colon removed and is on a liquid diet. Doctors believe he will lose weight but can return to action. I always knew he was a big asshole. Goodnight everybody!!
