Main Card
Welterweight Champion Ben Askren vs. Jay Hieron Jay didn't exactly blow away the Welterweight tournament field as many expected, instead squeaking by while cocky Ben continues to dominate people on the ground with excellent wrestling skills and absolutely nothing else. Boring fighter? Yes. Effective fighter? Yes. Training at Roufusport will help improve the offense, but probably not yet. Still, the more well rounded guy is simply going to get owned on the mat just like everyone else.

WINNER-Ben Askren by Decision
Bellator Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament Semifinals
Ron Sparks vs. Eric Prindle Not sure the "Ginger Goliath's" tactic of wearing down his opponent will work here. Sparks dummies people in round 1 before they can even get the game plan going. If it goes to round 2 its Eric's to lose but I'm not seeing it.

WINNER-Ron Sparks Rd.1 KO
Thiago Santos vs. Neil Grove Blagoi Ivanof pulled out of the tournament and so Grove gets in after losing to Michael PS Hayes by Split-Decision at the beginning of the month. Neil did break Mike's orbital bone in the process so now Thiago is in. I actually like the more inexperienced fighter to take things to the mat showing the Brit's glaring weakness FTW.
WINNER- Thiago Santos by Rd.2 Submission
