Bryan Caraway defeats Dustin Neace by RNC in the 2nd round. Atta boy.
Steven Siler defeated Josh Clopton via Unanimous Decision. Yup.
Roland Delorme submits Josh Ferguson by RNC in the last round. A decent effort for Roland.
John Albert steamrolls Dustin Pague by TKO in the very 1st round. Didn't see that one coming. Albert just straight bullied Pague and choked the kid with his own arm as he beat his ass.
Marcus Brimage bested Stephen Bass by Unanimous Decision. ATT set this kid up well and though he took some damage, it was a lopsided fight.
Johnny Bedford soundly defeats Louis Gaudinot by TKO (knees) in round 3. Ol' green hair is a tough one but he's just too small for anything but Flyweight. Bedford just big brothered Louis all night destroying him for 1o minutes before finally ending it in the last round after the referee had finally seen enough. Jeezus that was just mean. "(T)KO Of The Night"
Tony Ferguson defeats Yves Edwards in a close and exciting Unanimous Decision. The youngster took the fight to Yves early using his speed and nice uppercuts to hurt Edwards and almost put him away at the end of the 1st. Yves got going in the 2nd, though Ferguson was game for the stand up fight. Edwards repeatedly landed the head kick but Tony walked through them getting a last second takedown to possibly steal the round. For the last round, the two men go to war with Tony's nose leaking blood. Both men unload all they have got with a myriad of MMA. Its an excellent war to the end but Yves just seems a tad behind Ferguson. "Fight Of The Night"
* Many including myself though Yves would get put away but the veteran hung tough and had a good showing. Tony continues to improve at Lightweight and passes another solid test.
In the TUF 14 Bantamweight final, John Dodson defeated TJ Dillashaw by TKO (punches) at 1:54 of round 1. TJ decided it would be wise to stand and trade with the oh so hateable Dodson who landed a light speed left hand that crumbled Dillashaw which caused the immediate stoppage. Maybe a second premature but John was about to abuse TJ on the floor so it matters not. John is one of the more irritating fools we have had to endure from TUF and he'll probably hang around a while. Yay.
In the TUF 14 Featherweight final, Diego Brandao defeated Dennis Bermudez by submission (Armbar) at 4:51 of round 1. This was surprisingly exciting affair. Brandao came out strong as predicted but he was staunchly met by a forward attacking Bermudez. A one-two puts Dennis down though he springs back up only to eat a flying knee and have Brandao land on top of him. They scramble to their feet and Dennis lands a short right hand that flattens Diego. Brandao absorbs some punishment and searches for a kneebar though his misses it. Diego then rolls though with a picture perfect armbar and Bermudez is tapping instantly. Dennis' arm is hyper-extended and maybe broken in a crazy back and forth fight! "Submission Of The Night"
* I'll admit it. I could have cared less about this fight but these guys put on a show and I look forward to both guys next efforts!
Michael Bisping easily defeats Jason Miller via TKO (strikes) at 3:34 of round 3. The tension was high and "Mayhem" had success early keeping Mike backpedaling and defending the takedown attempts. Jason absolutely went too hard early though he took the 1st, the "Count" took no damage. In the 2nd, Bisping got to work landing knees and punches to the body and various combinations. Toward the end of the round Miller is gassed and Michael is taking target practice while Jason taunts him. For the 3rd round, "Mayhem" comes out with a badly swollen eye a bleeding nose and keeps winging his punches. The "Count" calmly takes him apart and when he begins some brutal G&P, Jason covers and the referee halts the fight.
* Well that looked easy. Miller had absolutely nothing to offer and will try his luck again a little lower in the division. Mike is as close to the title shot as he can be without losing it so the UFC had better make their payday in England happen now. Nobody knows who is fighting who with rumors of Chael Sonnen vs Mike Munoz, and various other unofficial tales swirling. Make a decision Joe Silva and lets figure this out already.
8-2 on the picks.
