Now MMAFO will be the 1st to admit we bitch a lot about the lackluster cards being shoved down our throats these days to grab your dollar and not your attention, but in all fairness, UFC 238 is a jacked card! There is but a single bout we have no interest in, while the rest of the scraps are all important, entertaining (or both), and filled with world ranked contenders! This is the level of _ that we expect from the top MMA promotion on the planet.
#1 Marlon Moraes (22-5-1) -130 vs. Henry Cejudo (14-2) +120
Cejudo will always having our thanks for knocking cocky TJ Dillashaw into oblivion before he bounced on a 2-year PED suspension for being a cunt, but this guy is also delusional. Know your crowd Henry. That king gimmick was cringe at its most painful. All that aside, the tiny man is an Olympian, bla, bla, bla, we all know the shit. He looks suspiciously jacked for the fight and we'll see what he and his giant head get accomplished on Saturday.
This is where it happens. Moraes takes that next step forward in his winning UFC gold and extinguishing the future of the Flyweight division.

Flyweight Champion #1 Valentina Shevchenko (16-3) -1075 vs. Jessica Eye (14-6) +875
"Bullet" feels like the real women's Flyweight Champion now after defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the debacle with Nicco Montano behind her. Now the business at hand will be kicking the ever-loving-shit out of "Evil" Eye.
How does hilariously illiterate social media Eye compete here? Valentina is better everywhere and will punish her for 25 minutes.

Understand, crazy person Tony never lost the Interim title as the UFC just kinda pretended it didn't happen after "Fergie" got injured being a moron. Then he returned a bit early from injury and dispatched Anthony Pettis only to have his mental faculties called into question with personal issues outside of the cage. "El Cucuy" seems to be as close to rational as he gets nowadays so let's hope all is well. Ferguson earned a real title shot long ago has been consistently denied his rightful position.
Hey "Cowboy" is a Dad and we're already sick of fucking hearing about it. No doubt Donald deserves credit for his last 3 wins and looking solid at 36, but let's be honest. This is the same cat that went 0-3 in '17 and people were calling for his retirement.
This will be fun and the frolic will be frantic but Ferguson is going to get near death and then wound "Cowboy" before snatching a neck for the win.

#5 Jimmie Rivera (22-3) +285 vs. #7 Petr Yan (12-1) -315
If defeating the ultra-annoying John Dodson was Pete's 1st big win, Rivera would be proof that Yan is a true title contender. The Russian actually called out Jimmie for this fight and he gets what he wants to test his violence.
"El Terror" stumbled against Marlon Moraes and then was Upset by Aljamain Sterling in February. These are the very best Bantamweights but losses are losses. We hardly think Rivera is on his way out anytime soon, but Yan is here to make a real run.
Fifteen minutes of madness for all to enjoy.

Tai Tuivasa (8-1) -135 vs. Blagoy Ivanov (17-2) +125
Even so, "Baga" won't be keeping him honest and Tai bangs around for a slow 3 rounder.

#10 Tatiana Suarez (7-0) -700 vs. Nina Ansaroff (10-5) +500
"Tatty Sue" has remained undefeated and basically unchallenged in her rise through the 115 ranks. Nobody can touch her wrestling.
Ansaroff has really surprised us with how much she has improved which is likely our short sidedness since her partner Amanda Nunes is likely the GOAT of all female MMA fighters, but we digress.
You can't really pick against Suarez at this point but Ansaroff is no easy out in what will be a rough and tumble chess match.
WiNNER-Tatiana Suarez by Decision
#4 Aljamain Sterling (17-3) -135 vs. #8 Pedro Munhoz (18-3) +125
Pedro pasting Cody Garbrandt in March has only upped his always reliable and steady stock. The jokes were all about Cody but Pedro loses his cool often as well.
The "Funk Master" will dance his way to the judges nod staying just out of danger.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz (12-4) -110 vs. Alexa Grasso (10-2) +100
KK our love, our reason for living, is on her 2nd 2-fight losing streak and is in desperate need of a win. "The Last Goddess of Goodness" is always competitive with true heart in the cage, but things went awry against Michelle Waterson last March. We still don't get it and will chalk it up the aberration that it is.
Our great Shitzu defender faces the "Lobo From Mexico" who is 8 years younger! She'll need that youth cause her striking won't be nearly as technical and effective as her opponent and it'll be a rough go against the Pole.

Ricardo Lamas (19-7) +120 vs. Calvin Kattar (19-3) -130

Xiaonan Yan (10-1) -165 vs. Angela Hill (9-6) +155
We like Hill but she's fighting too frequently and we're betting she is a tad slower than normal because of it and Xiaonan out-points her.
WiNNER-Xiaonan Yan by Decision
Bevon Lewis (6-1) -155 vs. Darren Stewart (9-4) +145
I mean, it's been a solid card and if the UFC throws in 1 nobody cares let them bang it out bout, who are we to hate?
WiNNER-Bevon Lewis by Rd.2 TKO
Eddie Wineland (23-13-1) -140 vs. Grigory Popov (13-1) +130
Oh well here's a little gem we didn't know about. Snuck it in on us well, Ed is still out here throwing around leather from Hell and God bless him. Wineland is always a good watch and if this is the UFC's attempt to put him out to pasture, they have made a mistake. Power is the last thing to go.
WiNNER-Eddie Wineland by Rd.2 TKO

What do ya know, it's "JoJo" ready to go and looking ready to continue the flow at 125 live! Our favorite Scot is a soft spoken kickboxer with the heart of the highland inside her.
Kat is going to pretend to hit while Joanne will smash yo face. MMAFO still loves us some Calderwood and she's gonna make a run at Strawweight.
