Besides printing fight posters that look like they are from the early 90's and a non descript man/logo that looks suspiciously like the UFC's early Bas Rutten impersonation, "War On The Mainland" has put together a card with some familiar faces and veterans looking for a last hurrah.
Tim Sylvia (26-6) vs. Paul Buentello (28-12) [HeavyWeight title] Yes there are titles on the line tonight but a belt is only a piece of tin or cheap gold. What is really at stake is the ego's of these 2 veteran UFC fighters who want to stay relevant in the MMA world of Heavyweights. The "Maine-iac" is coming off back to back wins 1 over 5x strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski but this also the guy who got starched in 9 seconds by a 100 year old Ray Mercer so you never know. "Burrito" as he is lovingly referred to on the UG, got a win at Shark Fights recently but age seems to be slowing his once speedy punches and he doesn't have enough other weapons to keep opponents honest. Tim is looking for a job with Strikeforce and eventually the UFC again and this is a step in the right direction. Sylvia is bigger, stronger, and well prepared as he batters the "Headhunter" around the cage for a lopsided judges nod.
WINNER-Tim Sylvia by Decision
Jason Lambert (25-11) vs. Allan Goes (10-5-2) [Light Heavyweight title] Remember back in 2001 when Mark Coleman scrambled Goes brains and almost killed him? The 39 year old hasn't gotten better and hasn't fought in 3 years. The "Punisher" has lost 5 of his last 7 fights but 2 in a row in this "who gives a shit" bout. Lambert should avoid the floor and run game on the BTT fighter all the way to the bank.
WINNER-Jason Lambert by Rd.2 TKO
Thales Leites (17-3) vs. Matt Horwich (24-15-1) [Middle Weight title] Leites continues to try and prove to people he isn't one of the most boring fighters in the world but this bout against the crazy christian ain't gonna help. Thales should have this bout all day wherever he wishes but only top talent will get him back to the UFC.

Jens Pulver (22-13-1) vs. Diego Garijo (4-1) So what if "Lil Evil" has lost 5 fights in a row. He's training with former enemy BJ Penn and you can't go out like that. But "Dos Pistolas" is a young hungry gun and I fear a 6th loss.
