John Kuhner taps John Felty with a Triangle Choke in the 2nd.
Mitch Whitesel defeats Marc Cofer via Guillotine Choke in the opening round.
Brian Rogers TKO's Ian Rammel in the 1st as well.
Jay Freeman defeats Jason Riley who tapped out to Punches.
Jorge Gurgel submits Billy Vaughan by Guillotine Choke 44 seconds into the 1st. Jorge has Jiu-Jitsu? Who knew? Finally Gurgel uses what he is known for and what do ya know he wins easily. "Submission Of The Night"
Roger Bowling defeats Josh Thornburg by Unanimous Decision.
Jorge Masvidal bests Billy Evangelista by Unanimous Decision. Uh-oh, Billy is overrated and everyone saw it.
Tim Kennedy taps Melvin Manhoef with the RNC in the 1st round. Mel showed some great takeodown defense but you only need 1 mistake when your ground game is this bad. Kennedy gets the safe win and may regret calling out Robbie Lawler after the fight.
Marloes Coenen lands a come from behind Triangle Choke to submit Liz Carmouche in the 4th round of the Women's Welterweight title bout. "Rumina" looked good early keeping the smaller Liz at range with her Golden Glory stand up attack. Then for the next 2 rounds, Carmouche established G&P seemingly cruising to the belt as the 4th round began. Liz hits the double-leg takedown again but this time Marloes secures the triangle choke much like Anderson Silva did to defeat Chael Sonnen in similar come from behind title action. Great bout and heart by both women but the Champ is still the Champ. "Fight Of The Night"
Dan Henderson defeats Rafael Cavalcante by TKO to become the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion! "Feijao" came out strong landing a right hand to the temple that sent "Hendo" crashing across the canvas. Cavalcante followed it up but Dan was able to stall things out and recover until the referee stand up. In the 2nd, Henderson landed a takedown and used that patented (isn't that right Mr.Lindland) Team Quest G&P to even things before the judges going into the 3rd. They circle a bit and the right hand "H-Bomb" lands dropping Rafael to the canvas on his tum tum. Follow it up with a vicious ground assault and this bout is over crowning a new champion still leaving "Basic" Bobby Southworth as the only guy to have successfully defended the Light Heavyweight strap. "KO Of The Night"
I lost the 1st 2 of the night and then it was smooth sailing to go 8-2 on the picks.
