UFC 184 Results: 7 of 10 Bouts Finished!

MMAFO went 7-3 on the UFC 184 picks & 8-1 on the Bellator 134 picks this weekend. 5-0 on the Main Card but we missed our Upset Special. We, or more aptly, James Krause, got screwed by the judges and it was a night of egregious errors by overly aggressive fighters. Josh Koscheck needs to retire but Mark Munoz should get one more chance.
Ronda Rousey submitted Cat Zingano by Arm Lock a mere 0:14 into the very 1st round to remain undefeated and retain her UFC Bantamweight Championship.
Cat made a ginormous idiotic error dashing across the cage and unleashing a flying knee that got her taken down, and quickly submitted in an humiliating 14 seconds. Not much to say here except that was one of the stupidest things ever done in a title match. We're not trying to pile on Zingano who was obviously broken hearted after the match, but really, that, was, pathetic.
Rogan interviewing poor Cat after the most embarrassing moment of her life was just cringe inducing to watch. Have some tact UFC.
Holly Holm defeated Raquel Pennington by Split Decision in a fight she obviously won.
Holm controlled her nerves and the cage as she used her speed and superior technique to easily out point "Rocky." No idea how a judge saw the bout for Pennington.
Jake Ellenberger tapped Josh Koscheck by North South Choke 4:20 of the 2nd round.
The "Juggernaut" finally got back in the win column and all he had to do was choke "Kos" until he gurgled and foamed at the mouth. Time for Josh to retire. "Submission of the Night"
Alan Jouban KO'd Richard Walsh via violent Elbow and Punches at 2:19 of the 1st round.
That was one of the most brutal and beautiful elbows we at MMAFO have seen in years. This Jouban kid is really impressing each time out and we are getting really high on this kid. "KO of the Night"
Tony Ferguson submitted Gleison Tibau by RNC at 2:37 of the opening round.
"El Cucuy" rocked Tibau with his long arms early and Tibau was so hurt he couldn't defend when Ferguson went for the choke. Very impressive and Tony works his way into the Top 10 for the 1st time in his career. "Performance of the Night"
Roan Carneiro tapped Mark Munoz by RNC at 1:40 of the 1st round.
Jesus it was the night of horrific mistakes. Munoz made a giant mistake going into Carneiro's wheelhouse and got tapped quickly. A bad loss but the error doesn't mean he should retire. At least he went to sleep without getting punched in the head.
Norifumi Yamamoto versus Roman Salazar ends in No Contest due to Accidental Eye Poke in the 2nd round.
Roman obviously didn't want to continue knowing that he would get paid his show money and get to come back for another fight as opposed to if he fought on and lost, he would be cut. We call that cowardice.
Tim Means TKO'd Dhiego Lima with Punches at 2:17 of the 1st round.
Oh Jesus Lima had nothing for Means in this one. The less talented Lima brother isn't long for the UFC.
Derrick Lewis TKO'd Ruan Potts via Punches at 3:18 of the 2nd round.
Both of these guys are terrible. Potts wanted to quit between rounds and Lewis was gassed 10 seconds into the bout. These guys are destined for Bellator.
Valmir Lazaro defeated James Krause by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) in a poor judging error.
Um, yeah, Krause got screwed yet again in the Octagon. That's twice and he's got to be getting pissed at this point.
Masio Fullen defeated Alexander Torres by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) in an exciting little fight.
Not a bad little fight save for the fact neither man knew how to employ defense. Still a good time.
