UFC Fight Night 77 Henderson vs. Belfort 3: Picks & Odds

November 7, 2015
GinĂ¡sio do Ibirapuera
Sao Paulo, Brazil

Main Card on FOX Sports 1:

Vitor Belfort (24-11) -350 vs. Dan Henderson (31-13) +265 [Trilogy]
You gotta cheer for "Hendo" but a win is doubtful in the battle of the TRT Godfathers. The chin is gone for Dan but fuck the lying Christian Belfort running.
WINNER-Vitor Belfort by Rd.1 TKO

Glover Teixeira (23-4) -550 vs. Patrick Cummins (8-2) +375
Cummins doesn't have the offense to hang with Glover who waxes him sooner rather than later. Patty gets touched up too easily.
WINNER-Glover Teixeira by Rd.2 TKO

Thomas Almeida (20-0) -500 vs. Anthony Birchak (12-2) +350
We're high on "Thominhas" and his potential though the chin is a worry. As long as Birchak doesn't find "the mark," Almeida rolls keeping the undefeated streak alive.
WINNER-Thomas Almeida by Decision

Alex Oliveira (12-2-1, 1) -225 vs. Piotr Hallman (15-4) +175
The "Brazilian Cowboy" has been impressive so far and brings an infectious energy to his fights. Poitr is going to try and keep Alex on the ground but we side with Oliveira in a close one.
WINNER-Alex Oliveira by Decision

Gilbert Burns (10-0) +170 vs. Rashid Magomedov (18-1) -210
Burns brings his Jiu-Jitsu skills against Rashid's raw power. Gil is no joke but lacks the technically brilliant and beautiful striking Magomedov launches. Ride with the "Highlander" for there can be only one!
WINNER-Rashid Magomedov by Decision

Fabio Maldonado (22-8) +400 vs. Corey Anderson (6-1) -600
The "Iron Cowboy" is fun to watch with his blistering body punches but after taking a few, Corey will put this fight on the ground and own Fabio until the final bell.
WINNER-Corey Anderson by Decision

Prelims on FOX Sports 1:

Gleison Tibau (33-11) -135 vs. Abel Trujillo (12-6) +105
Abel is a woman beater facing the veteran savvy of the longest tenured Lightweight fighter in UFC history.
WINNER-Gleison Tibau by Decision

Yan Cabral (12-1) +240 vs. Johnny Case (21-4) -310
Case works hard on the ground but the submission specialist, Cabral, will have no fear working off his back. Johnny should still be too much as long as he's careful in this grappling bout.
WINNER-Johnny Case by Decision

Clay Guida (32-12) -160 vs. Tiago Tavares (23-6-1) +130
We've never been believers in Tavares and if you've ever ready MMAFO you know we're siding with the "Caprenter." Its been an up and down road for Guida but he's showing new energy training with Team Alpha Male and should at the very least confuse the shit outta Tiago and the fans.
WINNER-Clay Guida by Decision

Kevin Souza (16-3) +140 vs. Chas Skelly (14-1) -170
The Chas Skelly party don't stop. Relentless in his attack, the fun to watch American will pressure the single punching Brazilian all night long.
WINNER-Chas Skelly by Decision

Prelims on UFC Fight Pass:

Viscardi Andrade (17-6) +110 vs. Gasan Umalatov (15-4-1) -140
Viscardi is a toughy while Gasan has trouble finishing and getting love from the judges. That continues here.
Upset Pick WINNER-Viscardi Andrade by Decision

Pedro Munoz (12-1) -170 vs. Jimmie Rivera (17-1) +140
The is the "sleeper fight of the night!" Both of these guys are impressive and Rivera is putting the mitts on fools as of late. The "Young Punisher" however is training at Kings MMA and knows how to exhaust his foes. This should be an exciting coin-flip fight but we like Pedro's attack to impress the judges the most.
WINNER-Pedro Munoz by Decision

Bruno Korea (4-0) +150 vs. Matheus Nicolau Pereira (10-1-1) -180
MNP is better all around but Korea will throw some exciting spinning shit in a stand up war that isn't long for this world.
WINNER-Matheus Nicolau Pereira by Rd.1 TKO
