There's a whole lotta who gives a shit on this here card but there are a couple of intriguing moments and MMA is the best sport on the planet, so lets dick around a bit.
Main Card on Fox Sports 1:
Kelvin Gastelum (11-1) -285 vs. Neil Magny (16-4) +225
Matt Brown is injured so reliable Magny steps in on short notice and Kelvin is going to throttle him. Neil's a decent guy and always a game opponent but Gastelum is a murderer. As long as his weight cut is on point, the guy is a juggernaut who comes to take you down into hell and brutalize you. It will be no different here. Kelvin works to the clinch where he pushes Magny against the cage and then finishes him on the floor.
WINNER-Kelvin Gastelum by Rd.2 Submission
WINNER-Kelvin Gastelum by Rd.2 Submission
Ricardo Lamas (15-4) -600 vs. Diego Sanchez (25-7) +400
The insane Diego makes the move down to Featherweight in a last ditch attempt to save his waining career. Sanchez has been through a meat grinder of a career and taken some serious damage. His striking is rudimentary and he's abandoned the technique of amateur wrestling for brawling in ridiculous fashion.
Lamas is one of the best at Featherweight and already comfortable at the weight class. Ricardo's not going to beat the Top 3 of the class but he'll run game on about everyone else. Lamas is a good wrestler who muscles guys up in the clinch and wrenches them to the ground for a beatin'.
MMAFO has zero faith in Sanchez even though the judges tend to favor his out of control style. Diego is old in MMA years and the years have taken their toll. That, and Ricardo is better in every facet of the game.
WINNER-Ricardo Lamas by Decision
Jussier da Silva (18-3) +350 vs. Henry Cejudo (9-0) -500
Now this is an intriguing fight in the Flyweight division which could garner us a new #1 contender for the crown.
Cejudo is the Gold Medal Olympic wrestler who has sharp hands though not much power. He's been impressive in his young undefeated career though he's not much of a finisher.
"Formiga" has won three in a row and has really been excelling recently. Jussier has a great counter punching game and is a Jiu-Jitsu ace.
Both of these men have honed their skills in their respective arts but both need to improve in the striking. This should be a pretty close fight but da Silva tends to get a bit inactive while Henry never stops the attack. That will give "Cujo" the slightest advantage in a bout that comes down to the wire.
WINNER-Henry Cejudo by Decision
Efrain Escudero (23-9) +120 vs. Leandro Silva (18-2-1,1) -150
Efrain has won a couple in a row and has improved slightly in recent years. He's a solid wrestler but he often overreaches.
"Buscape" has gone 2-1-1 for Zuffa and is a Jiu-Jitsu guy and not much else.
This is a toss up but its hard to side with Silva when he is so content to fight off his back which the judges rarely reward. We'll take Escudero in the Upset to look better in the eyes of the judges.
Upset Pick WINNER-Efrain Escudero by Decision

TUF Latin America 2: Lightweight Final
Horacio Gutierrez (2-1) -170 vs. Enrique Barzola (10-2-1) +140
Eh, prolly "El Fuerte" by experience and such.
Upset Pick WINNER-Enrique Barzola by Decision
TUF Latin America 2: Welterweight Final
Erick Montano (6-3) +155 vs. Enrique Marin (8-2) -190
"Wasabi" has won six in a row and is a submission Spaniard. Marin is also a go-getter with a good chin.
WINNER-Enrique Marin by Rd.2 Submission
Prelims on Fox Sports 1:
Erik Perez (14-6) -125 vs. Taylor Lapilus (10-1) -105
"El Goyito" was the UFC's big hope to shine in the Mexican market though it hasn't exactly worked out. Perez is a decent fighter everywhere and mixes things up well but he's just not able to excel as an elite level fighter.
"Double Impact" Lapilus is on a five fight bounce who marks foes up with a myriad of strikes in rapid fashion. The French southpaw uses good footwork to throw opponents off their game and implement his own.
We like the upside of Taylor since we just haven't seen Erik really do much to impress in his career. This should be a close fight but Lapilus show land the more impactful strikes en route to the judges nod.
Upset Pick WINNER-Taylor Lapilus by Decision
Hector Urbina (17-8-1) +160 vs. Bartosz Fabinski (12-2) -200
Fabinski has won five in a row and is a potent striker while Hector will engage in a brawl to his detriment.
WINNER-Bartosz Fabinski by Decision
Scott Jorgensen (15-11) -140 vs. Alejandro Perez (15-6) +110
Our beloved "Scotty J" is on the downside of his career and has gone an abysmal 4-7 since joining the UFC. Jorgensen has really been through a lot in his career and has been clipped more often than not recently. We really like the guy and hope for the best.
Alejandro is an AKA fighter with counterpunching skills who will need to avoid the ground at all costs against Scotty. We've just got this feelin' that Perez is going to catch Jorgensen reaching in for a takedown for the win.
Upset Pick WINNER-Alejandro Perez by Rd.2 TKO
Gabriel Benitez (18-4) +160 vs. Andre Fili (14-3) -200
"Touchy" Fili all day here people. We're surprised the odds are this close.
WINNER-Andre Fili by Rd.3 TKO
Prelims on UFC Fight Pass:
Valmir Lazaro (13-3) -115 vs. Michel Richard Cunha dos Prazeres (18-2) -115
MRCDP has a long name but his grappling skills and strength won't be able to counter "Bidu's" striking. Valmir stays off the canvas and gives a boxing lesson.
WINNER-Valmir Lazaro by Decision
Erick Montano (6-3) +155 vs. Enrique Marin (8-2) -190
WINNER-Enrique Marin by Decision
Cesar Arzamendia (7-2) -200 vs. Polo Reyes (4-1) +160
The Alliance's "Marco" Polo to shut down the uninteresting "Goku."
Upset Pick WINNER-Polo Reyes by Rd.2 TKO
Vernon Ramas Ho (3-0) -170 vs. Alvaro Herrera (8-3) +140
Ho is a tough youngin' and has a lot of upside though he lacks any notable experience. Though at this low of a level of competition, he should be fine.
WINNER-Vernon Ramas Ho by Decision
