WSOF 25 8-Man Tournament: Picks, Prognostications, & Odds

WSOF 25 on NBC Sports:

Lightweight Tournament Championship Bout:

Semifinal Bout Winner vs. Semifinal Bout Winner

Jason High -600 vs. Estevan Payan+400

The "KC Bandit" is back after an unfortunate suspension for shoving a referee when he lost to Rafael dos Anjos. The mistake cost High a UFC contract but the grappler has returned after taking the time to hone his skills with ATT.

"El Terrible" is a gusty brawler but his chin is suspect and Jason should be able to wrestle him into a points loss.
WINNER-Jason High by Decision

Lightweight Tournament Semifinal Stage Bouts:

Quarterfinal Bout Winner #3 vs. Quarterfinal Bout Winner #4
Quarterfinal Bout Winner #1 vs. Quarterfinal Bout Winner #2

WSOF 25 'Prelims' on WSOF.com:

Joseph Barajas vs. Erik Villalobos

This bout is just to get Barajas some more experience and Erik plays the can.
WINNER-Joseph Barajas by Rd.3 TKO

Jimmy Scully vs. Roberto Yong

Why was this fight even made? Both of these guys are awful.
WINNER-Nobody

Lightweight Tournament

Luis Palomino -340 vs. Rich Patishnock +260

Palomino has had some entertaining bouts against champ Justin Gaethje and he's a powerful striker.

Patishnock has also been defeated by Gaethje but he's less talented than Luis and much greener.
WINNER-Luis Palomino by Rd.2 TKO

Brian Foster -250 vs. Joao Zeferino +195

Foster has successfully returned from a scary brain injury and is a pretty well rounded fighter. Brain does enjoy the brawl a bit too much but he's got a good fight I.Q.

The "Brazilian Samurai" has won 5 in a row and is generally a submission fighter.

Brian is too good to get caught in one of Joao's submission maneuvers and should be able to knock around Zeferino and possibly get the stoppage.
WINNER-Brian Foster by Rd.2 TKO

Joe Condon +700 vs. Mike Ricci -1200

Ricci has been slowly improving training at the exceptional Tristar gym the terrible Condon is a late replacement.
WINNER-Mike Ricci by Decision

Islam Mamedov -550 vs. Jorge Patino +375

Patino is a well traveled fighter who has won 3 in a row but he is now 42 years old.

Islam has won 11 in a row and at 25, he's going to run over Jorge.
WINNER-Jorge Patino by Rd.3 TKO

Lightweight Tournament Reserve Bouts

LaRue Burley -240 vs. Ramil Mustapayev +200

Mustapaev trains with the  Jackson-Wink camp and has some potential but he's not ready for Burley who marks him up at will.
WINNER-LaRue Burley by Decision
