UFC 200 & TUF 23 Finale Results: Jose Aldo Reclaims His Crown

UFC Main Card Results:

Amanda Nunes submitted Miesha Tate by RNC at 3:16 of the very 1st round to become the new women’s Bantamweight Champion!

The "Lioness" came out strong, precise, and focused hurting Tate with punches almost immediately. Miesha tried to back away but Amanda followed busting up "Cupcake's" nose and dropping her to the canvas. Nunes followed and secured the RNC forcing the tap as the women's Bantamweight carousel continues! "Submission of the Night"

Brock Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt via Unanimous Decision (29-27 3x) in a bit of a disappointing appearance.

Brock looked okay as Mark was so worried about the takedown that he rarely threw a punch during the bout. Lesnar scored the takedown in the opening round and executed some G&P but nothing dominant. Nothing of note happened in the 2nd round and for the 3rd it was back to basics as Brock controlled the Samoan on the mat for an obvious points win.

Daniel Cormier defeated Anderson Silva by Unanimous Decision (30-26 3x).

"DC" just can't win. The guy goes through the ringer this week with Jon Jones dropping out of the fight with a PED violation and then gets boo'd by the moronic Vegas crowd for doing the right thing and using his wrestling game to nullify "The Spider" on the pee colored canvas. Anderson was on his back for this one and couldn't get any offense going. Cormier gets the "name" win on his resume and no love from the idiotic audience.

Jose Aldo defeated Frankie Edgar via Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47) to reclaim the (Interim) Featherweight Championship.

Edgar came out strong in the opening round but Aldo's harder and more damaging counter strikes began to pay dividends from the 2nd round on. Frankie was game but got marked up and could not secure a takedown against the staunch defense of "Scarface." Jose was dominant yet again against Edgar and went to the fence to tell a ringside Conor McGregor, "You're next!" "Fight of the Night"

Cain Velasquez TKO’d Travis Browne with strikes at 4:57 of the opening round.

Cain broke out the spinning back head kick shocking Travis and establishing Velasquez is back. The man called Cain pounced and pounded out Browne who had nothing for the former Heavyweight king.

FS1 Prelims Results:

Julianna Pena Upset Cat Zingano via Unanimous Decision (29-28 3x).

Okay, we are done with Cat. Zingano shit the bed yet again coming out and trying to grapple with a grappler while keeping her strong boxing game hidden away. It was another terrible fight decision and Julianna controlled Cat on the mat which is her world. Zingano just continued to try and take the fight to the floor but was bested there every time. Cat is just plain stupid in the cage and Pena's stock continues to rise as she climbs the ranks.

Kelvin Gastelum defeated Johny Hendricks via Unanimous Decision (30-27 2x, 29-28).

Johny is a shell of his former self and doesn't physically look the same coincidentally ever since USADA has come into the sport. Kelvin was 1st on the punch and though it was a spirited contest, Gastelum was the clear victor and you have to wonder just what is left for Hendricks who is in a free fall.

T.J. Dillashaw avenged his loss Raphael Assuncao winning by Unanimous Decision (30-2 3x).

Vengance for "Killashaw" as he used his superior movement to bust up Assuncao's nose and take this bout on points. Raph didn't look terrible at all but TJ was just better.

Sage Northcutt defeated Enrique Marín via Unanimous Decision (29-28 3x).

Sage survived against a guy who doesn't even belong in the UFC. Marin secured an armbar and it looked as though Northcutt was going to get his arm snapped but credit the kid, he gutted out the tough position. Sage needs to be brought along very slowly as it is readily apparent that he isn't ready for the bright lights of the UFC.

Fight Pass Prelims Results:

Joe Lauzon annihilated  Diego Sanchez via TKO at 1:26 of the very 1st round.

"J-Lau" obliterated Diego putting the "Nightmare" to sleep for the 1st time in his career. It was an onslaught of punches and brutal short elbows that had Sanchez staggering around the cage and out on his fight. It was a straight beating and Lauzon does it again gaining yet another "Performance Bonus." "(T)KO of the Night"

Gegard Mousasi TKO’d Thiago Santos with punches at 4:32 of of round #1.

"Sweet Sassy" Mousasi is still underrated at Middleweight and with his stellar striking skills. Pinpoint accuracy rattled Santos early and Gegard wasn't about to let his wounded prey escape. A emphatic performance for Mousasi who was visibly angry about not getting his "promised" shot against Daniel Cormier on the Main Card.

Jim Miller TKO’d Takanori Gomi with strikes at 2:18 of the initial round.

Gomi is done. Just stop buddy. Takanori doesn't even look like he's trying anymore out there as Jim took him down and pounded him out putting an end to the "Fireball Kid."

TUF 23 Finale Results:

Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeated Claudia Gadelha in a gutsy come from behind performance to retain her Strawweight Title by Unanimous Decision (48-46 2x, 48-45).

Light Heavyweight TUF Final:
Andrew Sanchez defeated Khalil Roundtree via Unanimous Decision (30-25 2x, 30-26).

Strawweight TUF Final:
Tatiana Suarez submitted Amanda Cooper by Darce Choke at 3:43 of the opening round.

Will Brooks defeated Ross Pearson via Unanimous Decision (29-28 3x) to make a successful UFC debut.

Doo Ho Choi TKO’d Thiago Tavares with Punches at 2:42 of the opening round.

Joaquim Silva TKO’d Andrew Holbrook via Punches 0:34 into the fight.

Gray Maynard finally found a win defeating Fernando Bruno by Unanimous Decision (30-27 3x).

Matheus Niculau Pereira defeated John Moraga via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) in an awful bout.

Josh Stansbury defeated Cory Hendricks by Majority Decision (29-27, 28-28, 29-27).

Cezar Ferreira Upset Anthony Smith via Unanimous Decision (29-28 3x).

Kevin Lee TKO’d Jake Matthews with Punches at 4:06 of the very 1st round.

Jinliang Li KO’d Anton Zafir via Punches at 2:46 of the opening round.

For the entirety of the last three UFC events, MMAFO went a terrible 18-14 on the picking game. Shit.
