UFC 202 Results: McGregor 1, Diaz 1 & A Great Night of Finishes!

Main Card (PPV) Results:

Conor McGregor defeated Nate Diaz by Majority Decision (48-47, 47-47, 48-47) in a fascinating rematch!

The "King of Ireland" came out focused with a proper game plan to attack Diaz. Leg kicks were served up with powerful precision early, tearing into Nate's left thigh and rendering it bright red and tender. Diaz began to check the kicks but gets knocked down by a left hand. 209 rises back up quickly but Conor is pouring on the offensive punishment while shaking his own head when he is hit. (10-9 McGregor)

The 2nd round begins, and another left hand drops Nate. Back up quickly again but a hard combination sits Diaz down for the 3rd time! Nate is bleeding (as always) but he powers through some kicks and punches to get some slaps in as the round ends. (10-9 McGregor)

Diaz is down two rounds and hurting but as the 3rd begins, Nate takes the center, and the fight to Conor. Diaz pours on the punches 209 style and is stalking his prey. McGregor turns away after a hard punch and Nate's face breaks out with a large smile as he begins pointing to Conor as if knowing he just broke him. The Irishman attempts a takedown but is thwarted and with a minute left Diaz unleashes hell! Everything is landing for Nate and Conor is fading badly while taking a beating. A body punch and knee to the chin seal the round for Stockton's own and McGregor looks finished. (10-9 Diaz)

"Championship rounds," begin and Conor is refocused behind a sharp jab that is bothering Nate. Now its the "Notorious" one who stops the takedown attempt and Diaz is a bloody mess. A left hand rocks McGregor but he storms back at the end of a close round as the men trade vicious blows. (10-9 McGregor)

The final round begins, Conor attempts a flying knee and the men clinch up against the fence. McGregor spins out but walks away, hands on hips, and gasping for air. Body shots from Diaz are punishing the Irishman and Nate is taunting his foe. Time is winding down as the men battle until Conor gets a slick trip-takedown. Nate jumps back up and gets the same takedown on Conor ground and pounding until the final bell. What a fucking fight! (10-9 Diaz) "Fight of the Night"

Anthony Johnson KO’d Glover Teixeira by Punch only 0:13 into the fight!

"Rumble" gets into position and murders Glover with a right uppercut. A couple of hammerfists are applied for shits and giggles and that is a brutal wrap! "KO of the Night"

Donald Cerrone TKO’d Rick Story via Kick & Punches at 2:02 of the 2nd round.

"Cowboy" was far smoother and his offense was on point using about everything in his arsenal to fuck up the "Horror" Story. The 2nd round saw a 5, that's a fucking 5 punch combination and the head kick that dropped Rick. Some coffin nails and the "Cowboy" is victorious yet again.

Mike Perry Upset Hyun Gyu Lim by TKO at 3:38 of the opening round to make a successful debut.

Perry looked like he should be a weight class below Lim but he acted like big brother. Mikey's power punches were so strong that Hyun got dropped 3 times in this bout. Rights and lefts were delivered in equal measure and Lim never got to get his feet planted as they flew up into the air and he was victimized.

* Side note that needs to be reported, Mike's team were caught on camera saying racist shit to Lim. This after Perry's odd tantrum at the weigh-ins and we have another fighter to hate on.

Tim Means TKO’d Sabah Homasi with Strikes at 2:56 of the 2nd round.

Elbows. Blood inducing, slashing, fucking elbows! We all watch the "Dirty Bird" for his elbow attacks and boy did he deliver. Homasi was cut open with a gash worthy of Hall of Fame induction and its a successful return for Means.

FS1 Prelims Results:

Cody Garbrandt destroyed Takeya Mizugaki by TKO 0:48 into the very 1st round.

Aw Takey, we hardly knew ya. Well, most fans didn't. We've loved "The Miz" for some time but we also saw the end coming at the hands of Mr. Garbrandt. Cody's uppercut is evil and belt holder Dominick Cruz seemed ready to finally accept the young prospects challenge. Game on fucker.

Raquel Pennington defeated Elizabeth Phillips via Unanimous Decision (30-27 3x).

Yeah, "Rocky" is the better fighter and Phillips isn't UFC caliber. Good on Raquel who gets another good win.

Artem Lobov defeated Chris Avila by Unanimous Decision in an awful fight.

Awful. Just a garbage fight. Neither man is UFC-ready and these fools are taking up roster spots. Terrible.

Cortney Casey tapped Randa Markos via Armbar at 4:34 of the 3rd round.

Fight Pass Prelims Results:

Lorenz Larkin TKO’d Neil Magny via Elbows at 4:08 of the opening round in a dominant effort!

Colby Covington TKO’d Max Griffin via TKO (Punches) at 2:18 of the 3rd round.

Marvin Vettori submitted Alberto Uda by Guillotine Choke at 4:20 of the 1st round.

9-3 on the picks.
