Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Long Island, New York
Main Card on FOX:
#7 Chris Weidman (13-3) +150 vs. Kelvin Gastelum (13-2, 1) -160
On the other side of things, Gastelum is beaming with confidence having won all 3 of his Middleweight outings (MMAFO recognizes his win over Vitor Belfort as Marijuana is not a PED) and looks to be finding his groove at the new weight class.
Gastelum has never been finished and taking Weidman into rounds 4 and 5 could show an advantage for Kelvin as Chris is generally running on low power by then. The striking will be near even but again, Weidman is very hittable while Gastelum has been showing improved defense. Could this be the classic veteran on the way down, youth on the way up meeting?
