Bellator 185 Mousasi vs. Shlemenko: Picks, Prognostications + Odds

#5 Gegard Mousasi (46-6-2) -675 vs. Alexander Shlemenko (56-9) +450

The "Dreamcatcher" has come to Bellator! "Sweet Sassy" Mousasi played the free-agent racket and won big making the move to a new home. Gegard won his last 6 bouts in a row for the UFC including besting 3 former champions. MMAFO has long championed this cat since '06 and he's only gotten better. The "Sauce" has one of the best jabs in the world and his boxing is top notch. Gegard can do everything and is generally durable. It is but a matter of time before this man wears gold.

The "Storm" is a steroid cheater who was initially suspended for 3 years. Anything above the 4:1 ratio is illegal and Alex had a ratio of 50:1! 50 to fucking 1! The only reason this despicable fraud is allowed to compete now, is that the PED testers forgot to get a B-sample. So basically, fuck this guy. MMAFO has no respect for cheaters.

Mousasi notoriously hates PED users and its time a lesson was learned. Gegard will step in to inflict the punishment the athletic commission failed to provide and retribution is swift and exacting.

Nemian Gracie (6-0) -465 vs. Zak Bucia (18-8) +340

Somebody had to take up the Gracie mantle, and Stambowsky took the job. As you may have already surmised, Nemian is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player who has competed in the sport all over the world while learning under the family greats.

"Crash" has won 3 in a row and been a professional for 10 years. Bucia is stepping in on short notice for the injured Javier Torres.

Yes, Zak has some ground skills but he ain't going to surprise Nemian with anything and gets tapped before he can shock the world.

Heather Hardy (1-0) -350 vs. Kristina Williams (0-0) +260

Heather Hardy is just a lovely human being. "The Heat" began her boxing career at age 28 in order to provide for her daughter as a single mother. Hardy went through a lot of tough situations in her life, and survived and thrived while becoming an inspiration for women everywhere. Heather had her initial MMA bout in June, and had to work hard for her win, but she did just that in a bloody affair and came out the other side in love with her new sport. This is the type of lady that should be looked up to in the world. Hard work and perseverance in the face of long odds.

WINNER-Heather Hardy by Decision

Ana Julaton (2-2) -145 vs. Lisa Blaine (1-0) +115

"Lady Hurricane" a former WBO and IBA super bantamweight boxing champion who has been competing in MMA over in One Championship where she went .500.

"Insane" in the (mem)Blaine has had but 1 professional MMA bout to her credit. Lisa did win that appearance by knockout.

If you wanna box against a former pro who won titles, go right ahead. Ana has far, far more experience and going toe to toe is her jam.

WINNER-Ana Julaton by Rd.2 TKO

Wrong douche people
Ryan Quinn (13-7-1) -115 vs. Marcus Surin (4-0) -115

Quinn trains out of ATT and has had an off and on relationship with Bellator going 7-1 for the promotion. The odd thing, is that when he ventures away from the loving arms of the Spartan, he struggles. Ryan has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is entering his prime.

"The Blueprint" is undefeated and making the move from the hapless WSOF (now the PFL). He trains with the Renzo Gracie camp and though he has yet to taste defeat, the man is now 36 and a bit late to the game.

WINNER-Ryan Quinn by Decision
