UFC 222 Results:

Cristiane Justino TKO’d Yana Kunitskaya via Ground & Pound at 3:25 of the very 1st round to retain her Featherweight title!

Much credit to 135er Kunitskaya for stepping up and in on short notice. Yana even had a couple of moments securing an ankle pick, taking "Cyborg's" back, and threatening a choke. Then, Justino got back to her feet and every single punch she landed seemed to send shrapnel flying off Yana's body. It didn't take too many and you know you are a dominant bad ass when you are forced to call out opponents because nobody wants to fight you!

Brian Ortega defeated Frankie Edgar by TKO at 4:44 of the opening round in a dramatic Upset!

Brian Ortega is the 1st man to finish Frankie Edgar. Just let that sink in a moment. The calm, cool, collected Ortega took Frankie to "T-City" refusing to use his superior Jiu-Jistu, and instead rocked Edgar with a short standing elbow, and followed up with merciless strikes and a final uppercut.

We cannot be more excited to see Ortega challenge Featherweight Champion Max Holloway!

We are sad for longtime warrior Frankie Edgar.

Sean O’Malley defeated Andre Soukhamthath by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-27 2x) despite a broken foot!

O'Malley's star continues to rise as he came out and straight styled on Soukhamthath until he broke his own foot kicking Andre in the head! Lucky for Sean, it was the final round and he opponent wasn't smart enough to make him stand on said broken foot, and instead took the youth down allowing him to run precious clock time and win the day.

"Sativa" Sean is here folks. This kid is talented, improving quickly, and knows how to promote himself. We send best wishes to O'Malley in his recovery and cannot wait to watch him again.

Andrei Arlovski defeated Stefan Struve by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28 2x).

Struve is so bad at his job that is makes us angry. Throw a motherfucking jab you 7-foot fuck! Sorry, sorry that was uncalled for. It's just so frustrating to watch Stefan fight. Well, not fight really, but more accumulate damage for no reason. Time for the UFC to do the right thing and cut Struve before he gets hurt. Stefan would look nice in Bellator's loving arms.

Ketlen Vieira defeated Cat Zingano by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

#4 Vieira nears a title shot but she needs one more big win and  Marion Reneau makes sense. Cat... we just dunno (MMAFO walks away).

Mackenzie Dern defeated Ashley Yoder by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).

Hang on fanboys, it’s gonna be a short ride! All the fans of the phat ass are going to be so disappointed when this girl is out of the UFC in two years (* mark it down, MMAFO prediction)! Dern is just terrible at striking and seems as though she has zero desire to improve. Mackenzie struggles with taking the sport seriously, her weight, and she's a rich girl. Failure's a coming.

Alexander Hernandez KO’d Beneil Daruish via Punch/Left Straight 0:42 into the fight!

Well that was surprising and disappointing. All credit to Hernandez though damn! We are now paying attention sir.

John Dodson defeated Pedro Munhoz by Unanimous Decision (28-29, 30-27, 29-28).

Did, did anyone enjoy this? No? No. The UFC would be smart, now that Dodson has completed his contract, to just let this guy walk away. John is too good and will thwart any decent upcoming talent, he’s abysmal to watch, and he’s the most annoying child in MMA.

CB Dollaway defeated Hector Lombard by Disqualification!

CB threw a late kick, and then the always hot headed Hector threw a 1-2 and knocked Dollaway on his ass like an elevator dropped out from under him. An obvious DQ and rightly so.

Hector Lombard is the biggest bust in UFC history and it's time to show him the door. That is 5 losses in a row and Hector obviously has no respect for his fellow combatants or the sport we all love.

Zak Ottow TKO’d Mike Pyle in his retirement fight.

Best of luck to Mike "Quicksand" Pyle in all his future endeavors. It was a honor to watch you compete these many years sir.

Cody Stamann defeated Bryan Caraway by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-29).

The judges struggled with cohesion tonight as they scored 4 split decisions, and perhaps it was the infamous return of the completely inept Adalaide Byrd that cursed the cards. We're not sure yet who scored what for who, but the judges got this one wrong. We hate Bry along with the rest of the world, but give the win to the man who deserves it. Hasn't Miesha Tate hurt this guy enough?

Jordan Johnson defeated Adam Milstead by Split Decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28).
