Bellator 148 Results: A Main Card of Knockouts

Main Card Results:

Paul Daley KO’d Andy Uhrich with Punches 2:00 into the 1st round.

”Semtex” unloaded a perfect right hook and Uhrich face planted into darkness. A jacked up Daley then called out “coward” Josh Koscheck for their inevitable rematch. Christ Paul has some knockout power in both hands and the return bout is even more highly anticipated. Daley has now won 5 in a row (3 for Bellator) with only 1 bout seeing the judges. Fear for the safety of Koscheck.

Paul Bradley Upset Chris Honeycutt via TKO 0:40 into the fight!

Paul clubbed Chris with his right arm and followed it up with a Hulkish freakout obliterating the formerly unbeaten Honeycutt in front of his home town fans. It was an emphatic end to their short rivalry that began last July that ended in a No Contest after a clash of heads. The “Gentleman” has now upped his Bellator record to 3-1-1 and is a monster of a Welterweight.

Then, Bellator cut to a video interview with Royce Gracie to pimp their upcoming bout with Ken Shamrock. Their 3rd meeting will be at Bellator 149, February 19th. Royce looked about 100 years old and has not competed since 2007 in which tested positive for Nandrolone, an illegal steroid. No Royce, MMAFO has not forgotten you cheated against true legend Kazushi Sakuraba. And we never will.

Patricky Freire KO’d Ryan Couture with a single Punch 3:00 into the opening round.

The younger far less talented Couture tried to strike with the Brazilian and paid a mega-price. Ryan literally ran into a left hand that decapitated him for an early entry for “KO of the Year!”

Tony Johnson TKO’d Raphael Butler via Punches in the final round.

Jesus Bellator Heavyweights are terrible. Some are complaining about the stoppage but Butler was not defending himself and had gassed out terribly after winning the first two rounds.

Prelims Results:

Josh San Diego defeated Paul Ruiz via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Matt Perez defeated Eugene Cancino by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

Te Edwards KO’d Nick Bustamante 0:43 into the very 1st round.

Jermaine McDermott submitted Eric Huggins 1:53 of the 1st round.

Justin Smitley defeated Art Arciniega via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Ilima Macfarlane submitted Amber Tackett by Armbar at 2:09 of the 1st round.

Carl Seumanutafa TKO’d Javy Ayala via Punches at 3:46 of the 2nd round.

Wait, what, what the fuck? Where/when did Bellator change 3 goddamn bouts on the card? We checked multiple websites and found nobody had the same lineup for the event. Bellator really needs to get their shit together if’n they ever hope to attempt competition with the UFC. A simple thing like making your fight card available in advance of the evening seems like a no-brainer. We people make “picks” online its free advertising for your product but that can’t be done when you… you know what? Its fine. Who cares? They obviously don’t and its just a MMAFO pet peeve. Lets move on to other things. 6-2 on the picks we knew about.
