UFC Fight Night 111 Results: Holly Holm KO's The Bethe!

Holly Holm KO’d Bethe Correia via Question Mark Kick at 1:09 of the 3rd round.

It may have been a tentative early going, but the "Preacher's Daughter" put her stamp on the evening fooling Correia with a gorgeous question mark kick that dropped Bethe to her normally dancing rump. A coffin nail follow up punch and Holly has ended her losing streak and is back in title contention immediately. "KO of the Night"

Marcin Tybura defeated Andrei Arlovski by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 28-27, 29-27).

Yeesh, Arlovski needs to retire. MMAFO doesn't follow this "you can't tell a fighter when to retire" bullshit. Andrei has lost 5, 5 in a row and just cannot hang at this level anymore. It was a nice run while it lasted but now Arlovski needs to think about his future health. Tybura wins for the 3rd time in a row and with the Heavyweight division incredibly thin, he is close to making some noise.

Colby Covington defeated Dong Hyun Kim by Unanimous Decision (30-25, 30-26, 30-27) and now thinks he’s hot shit.

Jesus this boring ass wrestler really thinks he's amazing while crowds snooze through his fights. Covington said post fight, "This is officially the embarrassment tour." Wow, this guy is full of himself and it should be really interesting to see what happens when he meets the Top 5 of the Welterweight division.

Rafael dos Anjos defeated Tarec Saffiedine by Unanimous Decision (30-27 2x, 29-28).

RDA make a successful move to the 170's dominating Saffiedine for the full 15 minutes. Raf had little trouble against Tarec and can now focus making a run in his new weight class. Future opponents like Gunner Nelson, Matt Brown,

Jon Tuck submitted Takanori Gomi by Rear Naked Choke at 1:12 of the 1st round.

(sigh) Poor Gomi. MMAFO tried to will "The Fireball Kid" to victory but it was not to be. At one time he was the best Lightweight in the world and now he's not even preparing for his bouts and just cashing checks. This is likely the last time we see Takanori in the UFC but don't be surprised when he shows up in RIZIN, still searching for that final win to retire upon. "Submission of the Night"

Walt Harris TKO’d Cyril Asker with Strikes at 1:44 of the initial round.

The massive Harris has now won 2 in a row but we are still not believers and question his chin, endurance, and all around game.

Alex Caceres TKO’d Rolando Dy via Referee Stoppage after the 2nd round.

"Bruce Leeroy" ran game on Dy and injured his right eye with strikes causing the end to the bout. Good for Alex who is actually a pretty interesting cat.

Yuta Sasaki Upset Justin Scoggins by Rear Naked Choke at 3:19 of the 2nd round.

The cocky Scoggins, who was once a prospect, has now lost back-to-back bouts and is reeling. Justin was winning the initial stages of the fight but from his back, Sasaki swept to mount and took Scoggins back eliciting the tap. A very nice comeback for Yuta. "Fight of the Night"

Jingliang Li defeated Frank Camacho by Unanimous Decision (29-27 2x, 28-27).

Russell Doane TKO’d Kwan Ho Kwak with Punches at 4:09 of the opening round.

Naoki Inooue defeated Carls John de Thomas by Unanimous Decision (30-26 3x).

Lucie Pudilova defeated Ji Yeon Kim by Unanimous Decision (29-28 3x).
